Experiencing both the dreaded brake actuator assembly issue as well as the very common mark levinson amplifier issue, on model # 0w480. was in conversation with lexus customer satisfaction and they are completely unwilling to step in and do the right thing in assisting me with either, or both, problems. i've owned this vehicle for all of 2 months, and although i understand that i bought it used, as-is with higher mileage, i think that since there was a recent warranty enhancement program issued by lexus on the brake actuator assembly, and also that the failed amplifier is a very, very well-known issue, where the amplifier all of a sudden one day cuts out and all sound is replaced by an incessant chirping noise that's only stopped by pulling the wiring harness on the amp or a fuse, that lexus should do the right thing by its loyal customers and replace free of charge. but they will not, because exactly like every other company in the entire world, they simply do not care about the customer or their experience. sorry, but this is the only way i am able to view my experience.
The brake pedal is hard when starting the car, brake pedal pulsates when stopping, brake pedal stiffens when stopping, a clicking sound under the hood, the following lights are lit: master warning light (red), brake warning light (red), abs (yellow), trac (yellow), vsc and the warning to pull the car over to a safe location and take to a dealer. the sevice department said the brake acuator needs replacing. lexus usa should have done a recall on the brake acuator but instead did a warranty enhancement which ended 12-31-2017 (with unlimited miles) and a secondary coverage of 10 years from first day of use or 150,000 miles whicever comes first. if i had driven my car more than i did with the mileage going to 150,662 miles prior to 12/31/2017, i know the brake acuator problem would have hapened at that time (as it came on at 150,662 miles ) and lexus would have replaced the faulty brake acuator. i am being penalized because i did not drive the car enough within a specific period of time so they will not cover the repair. lexus usa knew the brake acuator was faulty even in 2009. this is a safety issue which lexus should be held fully responsible to repair on my 2007 lexus ls 460.

Brake malfunction warning lights on related to defective brake actuator while driving.
Purchased a 2007 lexus ls460 on march 5th, got a prepurchase inspection and there are multiple things that have gone wrong. the latest repair needed is the fuel pressure sensor, costs approx $1525 at the dealer. i contacted lexus to see if this would be part of the recall and case manager amanda deantonio stated that based on the miles, age and my service history, loyalty to lexus, they can not assist me with getting this repair done. i am awaiting a supervisor to call me back regarding the repair that i believe should be covered under the "fuel pressure sensor" leak, elf campaign. on may 15, 2015, the gasket was replaced and the fuel pressure sensor sealing surface was repaired. i am now looking at a safety issue with this vehicle i purchased due the fuel pressure sensor shorting out my ecm, which has caused my car not to start. i am asking lexus to replace this part at no charge due to the faulty part. consequently, the fuel pressure sensor is installed where the plating material on the gasket seating surface is.
Takata recall this vehicle has a manufacturers warranty on the abs sensor and this part needs to be recalled. this abs sensor does not allow the car to stop in a safe quick manner. you have to press the brake really hard to get the vehicle to stop. at the dealership they said this is a safety issue so this should be recalled. it is not a cosmetic issue which the manufacturer is saying. that put it as a manufacturers warranty with an expiration date to get out of paying for tons and tons of vehicles with this safety issue. please recall this part on these vehicles. it is very unsafe to drive and many people have this issue.
Brake caliber safety issue shouldn't have been a factory recall. i'm not happy whatsoever to have to pay out-of-pocket for something that lexus knows about
Vehicle currently has 65k miles. within last 1,000 miles, began noticing noises coming from brake actuator. noise has become more noticeable. today, on 12/15/2016, while driving, i was required to brake suddenly, and vehicle was not as responsive as needed. this almost caused an accident. i called the local lexus dealership, and they are not aware of any current recalls - this needs to be looked into soon, before the failure of the brake actuator causes an accident. *tr
Brake malfunction lights come on and off vsc malfunction and possible abs malfunction. i have the brakes checked out and they cannot locate the problem. brjae malfunction warning lights come on when the vehicle is in motion.
On 8/28/2015 i was doing a brake job on my 2007 lexus ls 460, i completed the rear rotors and pads. so i started on the front replacing the pads i accidentally tapped the brake , but not pressed all the way in. not knowing the rotors was not on the car yet. i then notice lights appear on the dash. abs, brake ,asc etc... i then started reading up on this problem on how to fix it, what i'm hearing that i may need the actuator and booster replaced. another thing i'm hearing would be try bleed my brakes. so i'm trying this today this is a problem that a lot of 2007 lexus ls 460 and up are having, this seem like a problem that needs to be a recall.
Function: abs/vsc/trc/dtc ! c1342 hydraulic system malfunction (fl)
The vehicle makes a noise when braking and pulses. upon investigation at the dealership i was told that it was a faulty brake abs actuator. because the vehicle is out of warranty lexus will not cover the $3000 replacement. lexus is fully aware of the issue and put out a technical bulletin for the repair. even though the brakes are a safety component lexus refuses to consider this for a recall. after recalling all those floor mats when they couldn't find any issue causing rapid acceleration you would think lexus would recall a known flaw with the abs brake actuator. *tr
Heard squawk or barking noise when releasing brake pedal when backing out of garage. after a couple of weeks the noise was getting worse and brakes felt spongy. dealer verified the noise: engine compartment - 41672 tech found noise coming from brake actuator - will need to bleed brakes and go from there - possible brake actuator may be needed dealer did "special" brake bleed procedure "bleed brakes per tsib brake bleed procedure tsib l - sb - 0069 - 09". at 48335 miles the issue returned "ongoing concern - we bled brakes before for same concern - brakes squawking update/goodwill per sm performed special brake bleed - 48335 bleed brakes, now pedal is firmer and no abnormal noises heard - goodwill per service manager". at 62356 miles the issue returned "inspected & duplicated noise concern. performed special brake bleed procedure" . my vehicle is now at 69,996 miles and i am again having the same issue. *tr
