The car has a random delay problem when accelerating to pass a vehicle on the highway can cause a rear end collision that lexus try to fix by changing the both engine heads completely but it didnot solve the problem entirely. after oil changes the car lags and delays due to valves not sitting correctly (valves are in the heads). lexus is aware of this problem but has no resolution and do not see it as a safety issue. this is very scary and has been told to lexus by a number of customers. it is all over online forums and it affects 2007-2009 lexus ls460 (all trims) has 5 sec. delay while trying to pass on occasions. *tr

Parked vehicle, pressed start/stop button to turn off engine. engine stopped. exited the vehicle and as walking away pressed the lock button on the key fob. came back from shopping and the engine was running and fob would not unlock the doors. put new battery in fob... and still wouldn't work.used spare fob... it would not open door. i could not shut off engine. called aaa they came out, took apart the handle and inserted the fob key to gain access and was able to shut off the engine. lexus service said computer did not show any malfunction though 3 humans witnessed it. *tr

My car is a 2007 ls460. i bought it new in sep 07. it currently has 35,000 miles on it. on several different occasions during my ownership of this car, it has failed to accelerate, in response to the accelerator pedal, at low speeds. this performance issue only lasts a few hundred miles and then the car returns to perfect for an extended period. this can be very dangerous in certain situations. about 18 months ago, i made the correlation that this strange behavior occurs right after an oil change. since that time i have paid special attention and there is no doubt in my mind that it is related to the oil change. many other owners have reported this in internet car forums. *tr
