When putting the vehicle in reverse the sideview mirrors automatically turn in and down per lexus default. problem is you cannot override the default to adjust them for a clear view to the rear, which means every time you back-up you have to adjust them. that creates 2 safety issues: first being sometime i am in the middle of the street trying to adjust the mirror to i can back-up, second if i don't i could possible damage or injure something or someone. i am a retied tractor-trailer operator, was also instructor qualified in the military, an accident investigator in the military, and have over a million miles under my belt. i say this so you understand if this was the military i would not let any of my soldiers operate this vehicle with the default lexus has set the mirrors at. i have notified lexus, but they are taking it as a dissatisfied customer instead of a safety issue and the possibility of the major ramifications this could cause (i.e. damage, injury, death, etc.) while backing up. the picture i am sending is taken from head height like i was looking at the mirror, which shows what i see every time i put the vehicle in reverse.
