Takata recall. lexus has distributed an "interim notice" of this recall that advises owners not to operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. the letter states lexus is "taking this action to ensure your safety". in reality, the notice is an obvious attempt to protect lexus from any liability. this notice was sent three months ago, and yet there is no remedy available. the recommended solution is impractical for most families. the question is how long should consumers consider is a "reasonable" time for this problem to be corrected. the issue essentially prevents an owner from honestly trading, selling, or otherwise disposing of the vehicle while the problem exists. i also lease another lexus vehicle and was told by lexus that i could drive that one while we waited for the recall to be resolved. that adds miles to my lease obligation that were not planned for. lexus indicated they would provide alternate transportation, but i have received no confirmation of that offer. the vehicle that i purchased is not usable through no fault of mine, and it does not appear there is any urgency by lexus to correct the fault since the liability has been covered by an "interim notice". that is the basis of my complaint.

Takata recall. i received the recall notice back in may 2016. since then i have not received a follow-up on the status of my vehicle's recall. the time is unreasonable.

Takata recall it has been over a year since i was notified of the recall and the dealer still does not have replacement air bags and on june 19, 2017, was advised that he may have them in september.

Tamara recall-issued for my vehicle in may of 2016. next month will be a year and lexus still hasn't done anything. i was originally told twice they were waiting on parts. when they called for my service appointment i asked if the parts were finally received. i was then told they're still "deciding" what to do. that shouldn't take one year!

Takata recall update still unresolved.

I am still waiting for the takata airbags (about 1.5-2 yrs) to be replaced due to the recall but dealer just says nothing can be done until airbags are received. in addition, my dashboard has been melting for the last three years and now has become a safety issue because the glare blocks my line of vision during the day and at night due to the reflection of the lights.i told the dealer about this issue as well as lexus customer service but i am just told that 2010 is not included in the recall campaign. i have been unable to take an accurate picture because the glare/line of vision blockage is hard to see.

The 2010 lexus e35 i was a passenger in was rear ended in a multi-car accident on june 11, 2011, on interstate highway 80 in roxbury township, new jersey. there were three cars involved in this collision and the lexus i was riding in was the only car whose air bags failed to deploy. as result i sustained a severe case of whiplash involving my right shoulder and arm from which i continue to suffer almost constantly daily discomfort three years later. this injury would have been completely avoided had these takata airbags deployed as they were intended to do as result of direct impact by another vehicle. i urge the national transportation safety board to commence a robust and vigorous criminal inquiry into these failed takata airbags that lexus installed on their vehicles during 2010. *tr
