There needs to be a firmware update to the transmission shift logic or at the very least if a door is sensed as open automatically place vehicle in park. backstory....i've owned this vehicle for 2+ years and have mistakenly placed the vehicle in reverse (via the dodge ram style prndl selector). when this happens i usually catch it before i exit the vehicle. admittedly it has happened and i've almost been run over by my own car. this is a hugely dangerous issue.

After driving all day on sunday september 3 2017. it cut off when i was about to drop my friend daughter at her house. i turn it off the engine then start my truck again but wouldn't come out off park. i called roadside assistance and my truck was towed to the dealer. two days later the mechanic called me and i was told he has to replace a part and it was a electric shortage. my truck is only a year old and it was very scary and not dependable vehicle.
