2010 land rover lr2. consumer writes in regards to steering and rear wheel problems and repairs. *smd the consumer stated even though the invoice stated all applicable measurements were checked. specifically, the steering geometry, which was adjusted, the castor, camber, king pin inclination, toe in/out on turns and the rear wheel. the inspection report showed all safety, handling and driveability line items were in proper working order. however, the consumer continued to hear a noise and feel a pull to the right side . the consumer stated based on the noises, she was convinced, there was something wrong with the suspension.

Out of nowhere the rear end of the vehicle started making these loud, roaring and humming noises that eventually turned into a grinding noise. first thought the problem was the brakes; inner & outer brakes as well as the rotors were replaced with no changes, noises still continue. after that; all 4 tires were replaced with a full alignment, nothing seemed to help the noises at all. after further research of this problem; it seems there has been an issue with the rear end differential on this make/model vehicle for the last 5 years, that the manufacturer is highly aware of. i'm a mother of small children and my main concern is their safety in this matter; if this problem is allowed to continue, it could end up with the rear wheels locking up. this issue is very serious; better yet, very dangerous and needs further investigation. *tr
