2017 land rover discovery hse, major water leak from the upper corner, passenger side of the car. the leak happens when it rains or snows (both standing still or in motion). the water so far has touched the a-pillar airbag, the safety cameras on the windshield and other electrical wiring. additionally the water finds its way to the carpeting on the floor. in one occasion today (1/8/2020) water spilled into my head from right above the rear-view mirror while i was taking an exit ramp. this got me distracted for a couple of seconds, almost running off the road. land rover is aware of the issue, however they wait for the customer to report the problem before they do anything about it. it seems that the owners have been experiencing this issue as early as late 2017 (based on internet blogs). it also seems that there is a flaw with the early production models, requiring land rover to replace the entire windshield to resolve the issue, however after over 50 days of reporting the issue, land rover has failed to provide the replacement part. as a consumer i believe this is a major safety issue, mainly because it can cause electrical shortage with safety components, in addition to distracting the driver due to unexpected water drop while operating the car.
