We have classified the 5 complaints from 2011 Kia Sorento about TIRES into the following categories.
I found that the rear left tire was seriously worn on the inside to the point that it needed to be replaced. i have never before seen a rear tire wear on the inside edge while the rest of the tire was still good at 32000 miles. what would cause the wear? *tr
On two different dates about a week apart we had two tpms failures. on the first one the tpms tire pressure monitor system sensor located in the passenger rear wheel cracked and was losing air. tpms sensor was replaced. around a week later while my wife was traveling at highway speed the passenger side front tpms sensor retaining cap fell off due to corroded threads and the sensor fell into the tire causing a high speed deflation. dealer has not been notified of the second failure as we have an appointment in the next couple weeks. this vehicle has been dealer serviced since new and has all required service done. *tr
I was driving on the freeway approximately 70 mph when i heard a noise that sounded like a golf ball hitting the rear passenger side of the car, it was actually my tire popping. it went flat almost immediately. i took the flat in to be repaired and they couldn't repair it, i had to buy new one for $235, kia wouldn't warranty it. my car only has 5000 miles on it. i didn't run over anything or hit a pot hole or curb, it just popped. *kb
I was driving 70mph on a 4 lane highway. i was changing lanes from the 2nd lane to the left most lane. the car infront on me decelerated at a quick pace, so i had to make my lane change a lot quicker. at this point, the driver-side front tire popped and i lost control of the car. it veered quickly left and bounced off the center divide. it then traveled all the way to the right most lane of the highway and came to a stop. i believe i did not touch the brakes or the accelerator during this entire endeavor. other cars did not hit me. the car is currently being fixed through my insurance company. *tr
I was on vacation from fl and near savannah, georgia my tire went flat. i went to a kia dealer in savannah. they told me the tire could not be repaired and there was no warranty even tho the tire only had 21k miles on it. i purchased a new tire($192). approx 700 tiremiles later the new tire went flat. i went to another kia dealer, they told me i needed a new tire($174) and there was no warranty, they also said they didnt see any road hazard damage. kia refused to help and referred me to kumho tires. kumho blamed the dealerships for not following proper procedures. the dealerships referred me back to kia. *tt
Since day 1 from when i bought the car, it pulls to the right. i took it to the dealer, they did a tire rotation that hasn't fixed the issue. i have to keep constant pressure on the steering wheel to avoid it from pulling right and ending up in a ditch. *tr
