My ac/heater fan is no longer blowing out air. in addition, while braking, the brakes have always seemed to have not been performing as it should.
When driving up hill the car went into limp mode on two separate occasions and the replace engine light began flashing immediately as i limped of the freeway barely saving my life, had my car towed where i am under warrantee and kia refuses to replace my engine which burns almost every drop of oil in under 5000 miles, 66,000 miles
My panoramic sunroof exploded while i was driving on the interstate for no apparent reason. no impact; i saw nothing, witnesses behind me say nothing hit me, i wasn't under an overpass, i wasn't following anyone closely. driving straight at about 75mph.
My 2015 kia sorento ignition went out and i had to have it towed into the dealership and cost me right at $500 for a new ignition. making me leave with two keys, my original key will only operated the door and then new key operates only the ignition. my factory fob is no longer a part of the working ignition. i am seriously unhappy and find this hard to believe being that my kia has less that 88k miles on it.
I opened the left rear door and the handle came off. i opened the right rear door and the handle came off also. the vehicle was parked in my driveway. i put them back on which was difficult and upon arriving at my destination which was 20 minutes away the smaller part of the handle came off.
I can not open both driver door and rear right passenger door from outside it seems the latches for these doors are broken i have always to jump to the passenger side to open these doors.i think there must be a recall to be reported to kia manufacturers to fix this defective doors.
On december 24th, around 9:30 at night, i was driving south on i25 (highway) toward denver at approximately 70 mpg. my family, including my wife, 2 boys and mother-in law were passengers. the temperature was approximately 40 degrees and i was driving straight. with no warning, a large thunderous boom sounded, similar to a gunshot. the sunroof had basically exploded. we did not know what happened as we did not go under a bridge or any other structure that could have dropped debris on the car to create such damage. i pulled over at the next exit to examine the damage and to check on the passengers. my mother in law sustained a minor cut due to the glass. there was no sign of debris or a possible bullet that could have come from a gun shot....the loud noise sounded like a gun shot. the sunroof now had a huge 2 foot diameter hole and shattered glass was located throughout the passenger compartment. i was only 4 miles away from my home, so the attached pictures were taken from my garage the next morning.
Numerous times over the past couple of months, both the esc and dbc indicator lights will come on and stay on as i'm attempting to park the vehicle. this has prevented me from shifting the car into 'park' after pulling into a parking space as i can't get it to shift beyond 'neutral.' when this happens, i've had to shut the car off, and start it again. if the indicator lights go off after restarting, i can then shift the car into park. i brought the car into my local kia dealer this morning but they were unable to replicate the issue, and since they didn't have a technician on duty to look at it, i now have to return on monday in the hope that they can figure out and fix this issue.
I was driving straight in a grain silo town in kansas (coming up on oakley from colorado springs) and there were no cars around me. the weather wasn't drastically changing and there was no adverse weather. suddenly, it sounds as though there was an explosion on the top of my car. the fabric partition that separates the sunroof from the interior of the car starts shaking violently in the wind and there was some glass shards that fell into the car. it goes without saying that the incident scared both me and my two kids who were in the car with me. i pulled over to the closest gas station and took a look at the damage (seen in the picture below). as i had the rest of my road trip to accomplish (kansas city, mo), my husband met me in oakley, ks with his car and we made the exchange. i am a very meticulous driver who inspects everything before a road trip: tire pressure, window cracks, interior is intact, drastic change in weather along the trip, etc. i would have never thought to look at the sunroof and even if i did, i'm not sure i would have ...
1 week after purchasing my 2017 kia sorento fe awd from rochester tom kadlec kia in august 2019, i went to use my cruise control and it wouldn't set. "cruise" came on, but could not be set to my speed. issue happened around 1-2 times a week on 45 mile commute on highway. later on about a month later, i set my cruise control and once set, the speed began to climb. starting at 65, and going up to 70 before i had to use my brakes to turn cruise control off as the buttons didn't work. on dec 16th, my car showed a check engine light then stalled after putting it into drive from reverse. i turned the car off, then back on and drove "normally". took it into the shop same day for an oil change and they read the codes, "p2106, p2110, p063 limp mode and throttle actuator control range" they also noted my vehicle has a timing cover gasket and oil pan gasket leak, and my battery tested at 12.39volts and 339cca out of 640cca. recommended battery replacement. my shop asked me to check the dealership for my warranty, and it's 5 years ...
