While driving vehicle at approx 45mph in the rh lane approaching an intersection with an illuminated green right-turn arrow(my lane), a vehicle in the same lane, traveling same direction, suddenly stopped at the green light at the intersection. i immediately applied hard pressure to brake pedal, only to have it slam straight to the floor-board with very little braking action. i was able to quickly down-shift and apply parking brake in time to avoid collision with stopped vehicle. i carefully drove vehicle to my home, approx 3 miles from incident intersection. upon inspection i noted brake master-cylinder empty (it was topped-off to "max" line when checked evening prior), and hydraulic fluid sprayed all-around right (passenger)-side front inner wheel and puddled/dripping at banjo-bolt. you-tube research found a similar situation with a jeep 2 model years older than mine. link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvdzj874xum&list=pldw3mie2v4tcrduua9d8rbclqv8qa1mfb&index=2&t=1230s when i removed the right brake hose assembly, the metal crimp-on fitting to the flex-hose was completely disintegrated by corrosion. i replaced the left brake hose assembly as well, and found nearly as-severe corrosion on the metal crimp-on fittings though no leakage had occurred from there ...

My power steering has completely locked up multiple times while driving on freeways, highways, and residential streets. this issue has occurred in all types of weather, including rainy days and dry days, so that doesn't seem to have any sort of impact on the issue. when the power steering locks up the vehicle throws around 50 codes, which the dealership has reset more than once. each time the steering locks up i have to slam on my breaks and turn my car on and off multiple times until the steering starts working again. i have taken my jeep to the dealership twice - on 11/30/2019 and today (12/29/2019) - and have called many, many times trying to get this issue resolved. no one seems to care or know how to solve the problem. i picked my jeep up from the dealership for the second time earlier today, and my steering completely locked up again after driving it 20 miles. this time not only did the steering completely lock up, but the breaks were malfunctioning as well. each time i take my jeep to the dealership they claim that the issue is related to the sway bar disconnect, which makes ...

Last friday afternoon (12/13/19) i had a significant brake malfunction where i believe the abs system falsely thought a wheel was locked up and released the brakes or made them much less effective during a normal stop (my interpretation of what happened ' especially after some online research). i was travelling at approx. 45 mph and the light ahead turned yellow and i pressed the brakes to stop. the brakes were ineffective, and i realized i was not going to be able to stop in time before entering the intersection. i decided to run the light and pull over on the shoulder immediately. i then proceeded to drive again in a slow fashion and apply the brakes. i had the same ineffective response. i tried a third time with the same results. i believe the abs was being engaged falsely. i was alone in the vehicle and no cars were in front of me. i am certain that if i was on a crowded major highway and i was had to stop i would have crashed ' unnecessarily because there was no need for the abs to engage. the above incident occurred approx. 3 hours ...

For the second time a brake line has broken causing brake failure while driving. i called jeep and was told there has been no recall and the dealership's service department takes no responsibility. my daughter was driving around a circle at a major highway intersection when the brakes failed. i guess a certain number of people must die before a recall is made. have had an electrical issue with blinkers since i owned the car. when turning off blinker when changing lanes, the opposite blinker comes on. trying to turn that side off, then makes the other side come back on. it takes going back and forth for a few times before it will just turn off.
