7 episodes of violent shaking of the steering wheel and front of the car when driving on a highway. slowing down and stopping the car were the only solutions to resolve it. episode #7 was so strong that the car shifted from the middle line to the right lane. the car was inspected for this problem at jeep service in glendale,ca but no problems with the car were found.

Takata recall: airbags didn't deploy in front in accident. front divers side, enough damage to break tie rod inhalf but air bags didn't deploy.

While driving at highway speeds the traction control system, anti-skid braking system, and or the combined operation of these systems for stability control, engaged intermittently and unevenly causing the vehicle to pull to one side or the other. this has occurred approximately five times under three different drivers all at normal highway speed and under dry road conditions. when this happened, there was an audible noise (like a vibration sound) of the brakes being automatically applied and a pulsing in the brake pull. the system has engaged itself while the gas pedal was being applied at highway speed on dry pavement. immediately upon the system's application i moved my gas pedal foot to the brake where as i applied the brakes i could feel the pulsing in the pedal. this situation is an extreme safety hazard. when it occurs it both startles the driver and causes the vehicle to swerve to one side or the other. the system is definitely applying uneven braking to the wheels to cause the swerving. we have disengaged the traction control system in order to drive the jeep in a safe manner. however, it requires the driver to disengage every time you start the vehicle. at present each dealer has been nonresponsive in taking action to correct this vehicle problem, the vehicle is still under warranty. each time they say that their diagnostic system is not indicating any problems.

While driving my 2017 jeep rubicon off road, in the middle of an obstacle, the steering wheel becomes frozen. with all my might i can not turn the steering wheel. i was slowly rolling back down off an obstacle, the front and rear axles were locked. as i backed up the drivers side front wheel started to get light so i was trying to steer so the jeep leveled back out, but with all my might the steering wheel would not move and before i new it the jeep was laying on its passenger side. the steering locking in this manner has happen three times in my new rubicon and also happened in my 2003 rubicon. i under stand the steering being hard or being erratic with the front being locked, but to not be able to move the steering wheel at all even when the tires are rolling does not seem right. is this a factory defect or bad engineering on jeeps behave?
