Recently reported FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM problems on 2016 Jeep Wrangler

I was driving on the interstate and the engine just died. i pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle and when i put it in gear it acted as if it were in neutral. i then shut off the vehicle and restarted it and it drove fine. this happens randomly (could occur twice in one day or not for 2 weeks) and at different speeds (city and highway). i also have had random misfire codes and camshaft position sensor codes. sometimes the codes clear on their own and i have had to reset the codes with a tuner. i spoke to the dealer and it will be around a week before they can look at it, even in light of the danger for an engine just dying.

Engine dies when driving. windshield wipers come on tpm light comes on then engine dies. sometimes when driving the wipers come on, tpm light, then car slowes but recovers or dies completly. when starting car turn key to start and the starter continues when you let go of key. was driving in the rain, jeep dies was able to get to side of highway and i had it towed (aaa) to jeep service, they replaced the battery and tipm. i attempted to pick up next day after it was repaired, but they could not get it to start.. dtc codesu0127 lost comm with the tire press monitor mod. dtc b2305, wiper park switch input circuit high (stuck high). happens when first starting, on back roads and on the highway

My 2016 jeep wrangler rubicon was ordered and purchased on 8/18/2016 and ordered straight from the chrsyler plant through leith jeep dealership in raleigh, nc. while transporting my daughter from a dr. appointment the jeep caught on fire while traveling on aviation parkway in raleigh, nc on 9/8/2017 at approximately 10:45am. the jeep suddenly had smoke coming into the main cabin from the right passenger side of the vehicle under the glove box area. i quickly pulled the jeep to the side of the highway and removed the keys from the ignition hoping the smoke would stop. as i took the keys out of the ignition the right side of the dash was melting at my daugthers feet and flames were coming into the car and under the hood from the right side of the engine compartment. we quickjly exited the jeep and called 911. by the time we got 10 feet away the car became engulped in flames. the fire occurred while the car was in motion. we know the fire started on the right side of the engine compartment around the main wiring unit due to where the smoke started. the fire dept also stated that the origin was noted on the right side of the vehicle due to the more severe burn pattern to the right passenger side of the jeep compared to the left side. all service was completed by our chrysler dealership and there were no problems noted. there was 1 recall (front impact sensor) on my vin # and the dealership completed the required work. please see all service records attached.

The car will begin to accelerate on its own while driving and the only way to stop acceleration is by braking. it has been in the shop several times. we are told they replaced the throttle body and it stopped for a few months but is now doing this again. also the vehicle will down shift to first gear at random times...updated 06/06/17 *bf updated 10/19/2017*js

I rented a jeep wrangler unlimited through alamo in puerto rico for 2 weeks. on 5 occasions while my foot depressed the brake with force, the car surged forward. my foot was only on the brake. in each instance, i was forced to throw the car into park to prevent the vehicle from surging forward. this created a dangerous condition in 3 instances, 2 where i might have hit larger vehicles (one a forestry truck, another a large box truck) on narrow mountain roads, 1 where i was at the edge of parking pad that would have resulted in the jeep going down a steep mountain ravine.

I have a 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited with 20,000 miles., today i was going up a hill stopped at a mailbox then started to take off and the motor stalled while in drive. it cased me to roll back about 3' befor i could hit the brake almost caused a accident. i then restarted the jeep placed it back in drive and it wouldn't move! it acted like it was in neutral. i also tried reverse still wouldn't do nothing. so i rolled to a flat spot in the road check the trans fluid, it was good then turned it of checked the oil, it was good to. then started it back up and put it in drive and it was working fine again!
