My 2017 jeep renegade has stalled multiple times while driving and also while stopping in traffic. the car just stops and i get a warning about shifting to park and starting, which is dangerous in traffic. when trying to restart, the starter is very slow and will eventually start again. all scheduled maintenance and oil changes have been regularly made. this is a vehicle safety ssue that needs nvestigating.
Car frequently states "oil pressure low" despite constant oil changes. car idles when turning a corner and completely shuts off. dashboard flashes messages that "vehicle must be in park", steering wheel locks up and tells me to "push the brake and start button"... i had to do this three times. very dangerous! car shut off in 5 p.m. orlando traffic! has happened three times in two months.
Incident 1 2/11/20 5pm i had left my office after work and was pulling into a turn lane at an intersection on a city street; car stalled in drive. i put it into park, put my foot on the brake and pushed the start button; and it started. no issues on the 20 miles home. incident 2 2/13/20 7am i had just left my house and had turned left to exit my neighborhood when the card stalled in drive. i put it park and pushed the start button, nothing happened. i took my foot off of the brake and then reapplied my foot to the brake and pushed the button. sounded like the card was trying to start. waited a few more seconds and tried it again, it started. no issues on the 20 miles to work.
Car powers off when driving. it has happened 3 times this week. it shuts off so you can't give it any gas and says on the screen 'place vehicle in p and hit the start button' this happened 3 times this morning and the dealer said it might be oil consumption and i'm now doing a test for that which they said they might have to replace the engine.

My son was driving home - city street - it was snowing and icy - the car stalled out and he swerved to the right jumped the curb and ran into a pole and tree.*dt*tp i have read several complaints for this vehicle in stalling out as well as recalls. the issue is supposedly repaired but it comes back doing the same thing. due to this accident this has caused us to have body work to be done as well as other issues. the most important issue is my son could have been killed.*jb *dt*tp
The vehicle burns oil causing the vehicle to shutdown without warning. we have the vehicle services regularly, but it burns so much oil we're having issues before it's due for routine oil change. my son was about 30 miles away from home when his vehicle stalled without warning. he also mentioned that at times it would sputter during acceleration. we purchased this vehicle new and currently it has 29,000 miles. we had the vehicle towed under warranty to the dealership and they kept it for over a week before they were able to look at it. i inquired about getting a loaner vehicle since we were down a vehicle and the dealer said all their loaners were out and they will only allow us to have the loaner for 5 days total. so, they said they would contact us when they had a loaner available. we never heard back from them, so my husband called them back 8 days later to inquire about a loaner again, and at that time they said the vehicle was ready; all it needed was oil. so, when we went to pick-up the vehicle ...
Thermostat failure code p0128 appeared and thermostat needed to be replaced. as this vehicle had recall on the cooling fan assembly, this failure is directly related to the malfunction of the fan unit.
Vehicle has 14000 miles, has stalled six times in 13 months. most recently, driving less than one block away, made a right turn into a parking lot and lost all power, dash instructions stated that vehicle must be in p to shift gears. i was not shifting gears. vehicle had to be shut off, would not restart until attempted three times. the recall does not include my vehicle but absolutely should as it is the exact same issue as the recalled jeep renegades. this is extraordinarily dangerous to everyone on the road. i have taken my jeep to the dealership multiple times, they tell me they can't find the issue or that it needs an oil change again. my owner's manual states that the vehicle will tell me when it needs an oil change, dealership says not to follow the manual, to change the oil every 1,000 miles. this is the most serious of the issues i have had with this vehicle but have had numerous parts replaced in the first year of ownership of a brand new vehicle. purchased brand new at $27000, now worth $14000 and i cannot even drive it without risking stalling at highway speed. it ...
My jeep renegade stalls when i make a slow speed turn. while making a left turn to get on the on ramp to a lah, the car dies. i almost got hit from behind by people trying to go up the on -ramp behind me. the car dies when making a left turn crossing traffic & i almost got killed. the traction control light blinks. these incidents take place on dry pavement. i now see other people having the same issues are posting complaints on the internet on a jeep forum. why has jeep / fca not addressed this ? this is a safety hazard as the car dies for no reason and you can not move the car. there should be a re-call on this. there are documented problems with this & nothing is being done! my car shuts down for no reason.
