Tl * the contact owns a 2010 jeep patriot. the contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the front passenger side tire pressure sensor sank into the tire causing the tire to deflate. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. the technician diagnosed that the metal collar around the sensor corroded and fractured causing the failure. as a result, the sensor needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was repaired. the vin was not available. the failure and current mileage was 80,000. updated 08/19/14*lj updated 08/23/2017*ct

2010 jeep patriot. consumer writes in regards to front tires control arm failure. *smd the consumer stated during a routine maintenance, he was informed the tires were severly worn and the control arms were catastrophically failing. the tires were replaced, due to the failure of the control arms.

Tire low sensor was activated. upon checking tire pressure, noticed two valve stems were broken off. they were replaced at owners expense as chrysler said it wasn't covered under warranty. car currently has three more broken stems. material seems to be defective and cannot replace stems without replacing entire sensor. *tr
