i was driving down the highway and my drivers window gradually started sliding down . at the time i was running the air condition .and the window started slowly coming down . by the time i got home the widow was completely down . my husband tried to pull it back up and as he did this the window broke right into his hands and all over the seat of the car. and i was told by another jeep owner that she had a recall on her jeep . i was just wondering if there was a recall for it? *tr
The window regulators need to be recalls. the first one to go was the drivers window regulator. cost over $500.00 with parts and labor. the plastic part in the regulator broke and the window went down in the door. my husband was able to order the part on line for $200 and fix it himself. the second window regulator to go was the drivers rear passenger window. as i was driving the window kept inching down. had to stop 3 times on the way home to pull the window up so it wouldn't fall into the door, taped it up till i got home. again the window regulator something broke inside the part. ordered another regulator on line and had to have my husband fit it. if you go to carcomplains.com you will see many of the same complaints. this part should be recalled. *tr

I have owned my 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo for 10 years. i purchased the car new from liberty auto city in libertyville, il. at 80,000 miles, i was leaving for school when i noticed my driver side window had fallen into the door. when i tried to use the switch to raise the window, it did not work. i took this car to the dealership, they knew right away that i had a problem with the window regulator, and they fixed it to the tune of $400. the dealership knew what it was because they have fixed so many, and the novice internet surfer would be able to search out this problem and find a myriad of complaints from grand cherokee and liberty owners alike. i understand a class action lawsuit was filed in california by jeep liberty drivers, and jeep has since extended the warranty on liberty windows. jeep reimbursed me $300 of the $400 dollars for this first incident. now, last sunday, i was leaving my home to work the night shift at the hospital, and i noticed the passenger window was rolled all the way down - ...

Interior door handles are defective. the plastic surrounding the interior door handles has become brittle and broken allowing pieces to fall inside the door. this breakage has rendered the door handles inoperative and prevents the door from being opened from the inside. in the event of an accident the occupants of the vehicle would be trapped inside, especially if the power windows also became inoperative. *tr
2007 jeep grand cherokee 4x4.. my driver side window panel for the passenger window goes down but not up and stops mid way and goes back down. i just had my starter replace due to corrosion of the connectors, and dealer would not replace connectors, just brushed off and stated i need new starter.... *tr
Window dropped while vehicle was parked and would no longer roll up....pulled it up and taped it.....took to jeep dealership.....total cost to repair is $650.00..... same problem happened 4 years ago, but vehicle was under warranty at that time. i guess this is a common problem with grand cherokee laredo jeeps. mine is a 2004. a recall should be made on this plastic clip fault!!!!! *tr
