I seen on the new the gas tank for a recall i would like my name put on a list of owners that have this jeep so when recall comes out someone will have my name to send recall to. i m a fire fighter and see know how this needs to be a recall issue the thank sticks right out and the bumper is only plastic with really no support in front and min holding straps hold on. *tr

Over the past three years my power windows slid down. one left rear a few years ago slid down as we were going down the road. rt passenger side down about a year later. january 2nd my passenger side window did the same. i took it into the shop and mechanic said it was the regulator, it would be 300.00 to fix it, he said yep that's common in jeeps. i have a friend who has a 2002 jeep, same problem with all four.... i'm a single mother, single grandmother that cant spare that kind of money. yesterday 04/14/2009 i walked out to my jeep to discover the window was down. thought wow i don't remember leaving my window down because i have sound equipment i would hate to have stolen. it was chilly out that morning, tried to roll it up.... guess what? now all of my power windows are broken due the regulators. fuel pump, and injectors are my problem too. oh yeah!!!!!!!!!! let me add the heater core to that. i love my jeep... i take good care of it, it looks brand new. the oil is changed with the best money can buy and on time every time if not sooner. *tr

My 2001 jeep grand cherokee will not provide heat on the passenger side, only the driver's side. the vehicle also has some sort of electrical short and the entire system, including the radio will reset and start. in addition the fuel system is reluctant to pump fuel to the engine on a cold start. the dealerships advised me that the car is not built to last forever and the fuel issue and heating issue was typical. the expense however would be extreme for the heating and fuel issues to be $800 to $1200 for each repair. *tr

Fuel pump failures, first one failed at 35,000 miles, the second at 42,000 miles, and now the third at 71,000 miles. towing charges, rental cars etc. chrysler customer service would only quote the warranty was expired-12,000miles/or 12 months. this time my cost is $724.00 for a new pump, $200.00 for rental, and $68.00 for towing. three fuel pumps in 71,000 miles is ridiculous and frustrating. no more chrysler products for me. *jb

The o-rings in the fuel pump have apparently failed according to huffines jeep in plano, tx. they have told me that a technical service bulletin has been issued for the o-rings since 1999. i do not feel i should have to pay for the repairs of an obviously faulty part. my vehicle only has 65,000 miles on it.*ak

Bad gasket in fuel pump allows gasoline to flow back into the gas tank when the car is turned off.*ak

Debris is accumulating in intake manifold, and could result in a fire. dealer notified.*ak

Harsh down shifting, results in loud clunking, rear tire squalling, and passenger discomfort. rough shifting into gears while parked. moaning brakes, warped rotors fuel pump deficiancies, and miscellaneuos electrical problems.
