The engine stalls while driving. i've read this issue is present in other dodge and jeep compass models of this year, however, the recall that exists for those vehicles doesn't appear to exist for my vehicle. this is incredibly unsafe as the engine immediately stalls as i'm driving the vehicle down the road and i'm afraid of crashing.

I bought a 2016 jeep compass brand new from the dealership. after only three years (72,500 miles), the transmission completely failed while i was driving on a major highway. the jeep, which is a manual 5 speed transmission, would not shift into any gears. it made horrendous grinding noises as the vehicle failed and failed to shift into gear. prior to it completely dying, it was stalling out on me and slipping out of second gear while driving it. this is a safety concern, not to mention how disappointing that a car which is only three years old would have a transmission that completely failed on it. the jeep was well-maintained and garage kept. it was never driven anywhere except main roads and highways.

Etc, air bag, tracking indicator lights come on randomly. have had to go to jiffy lube twice to have sensors reset with one remaining. eventually indicators come back on again. they come on while driving. hard to get jeep to move, "jerky" until i reach 20 mph. have to pull over to turn car off then turn back on, continue for a mile and then repeat.

2to3 second delay upon acceleration while driving or standing! causing great concerns on safety operation of motor vehicle. while under warranty, phillips jeep,3440 s.pine avenue, ocala,fl. 34471 (352)732-7577 ; inspected and performed a pcm update on 23sept19. no charge to customer. however,a delayed acceleration can cause serious problems in traffic when entering intersection or interstate hwy. this occurred while standing/stopped and or in motion. vehicle in question is a 2016 jeep compass,fwd;2.0 liter.

While getting onto a highway, my rpms dropped and i temporarily lost power steering and started slowing down, then it "caught" and i was able to drive it straight to a car place to get the free diagnostics. everything came back normal so i left. later in the day as i was pulling out of my neighborhood it stalled again and completely shut off this time. when trying to turn it on again it either would but then would immediately stall again or it would just never start. while trying to turn it on, all the dash lights light up including check engine, which has not been on until the car stalled the second time.

While driving approximately 15 (fifteen) miles on a city street, i noticed my car had consumed 1/3 of a full fuel tank. engine will begin to stall out if speed is 25mph or under causing an abrupt and noticeable decrease in speed resulting in people having to swerve to avoid hitting me. change oil light constantly flashes across the odometer and will not reset no matter what i do.

Vehicle will without warning stall in the middle of driving, in city traffic, on country roads, starting up a hill as well as driving on flat straight road. i've been driving 55mph, 45 mph 25 mph and it will stall, the traction control light will come on. sometimes the car will not restart for 10+ minutes after stalling. each time i was driving in traffic, and had children in the vehicle with people behind me. engine just cuts all power, power steering is lost. also have noticed a huge drop in fuel efficiency, used about 1/4 of a tank in 30 miles, acceleration and vehicle not shifting normally. this is the 6th time in two weeks it has stalled, and 2nd time to take it into the dealership with this issue. i've only had about 6 months, it was cpo and have driven it about 10,000 miles
