I was driving home from work one night and all the dash lights come on and the vehicle completely stalled in the middle of the highway. i had to attempt to pull over and switch the key off and back on to restart the engine. i also have been at a stop multiple times and turn out into the road and my vehicle won't go, which could result in me getting hit. i also had my recall 'fixed' for the power train, went back because i received another letter saying it was possibly not fixed and it still tells me the problem was not fixed on my vehicle. i cannot use cruise control on my vehicle because when it goes down the slightest hill, curve, whatever, the rpms go all the way up and just sit there, even when i have turned off the cruise control and braked it still stays shifted up for a long time. i regret purchasing this vehicle, especially with a baby on the way any day now and her safety being at risk. we are in the process of finding another vehicle.
My car make a humming noise like it's trying to catch up while driving it stalls and sometimes while driving the car engine goes dead i have to keep pushing start button about 3 times to restart i took a picture of light that comes on and also another car backed into my car when car went dead it's very dangerous been to dealership several times they said everything was ok they even told me to take pictures of lights when it happens like i'm lying and i did even thought all pictures are time stamp.i can't afford uber and car note i need help.this happens on freeway highway side street anytime no warning.
Car does not go in to drive and will sometimes lurks in to high gear from a start or a initial go. the car revs up thinking it was in drive then slams in to high gear and goes.
My car hesitiates when putting it in to drive from backing up or just taking off. it hesitates going from low to high speed taking a long time intermittently. this is a very serious safety issue. i could be side swiped or ran in to.
When i accelerate my vehicle after a stop or getting on the highway, it stalls and or stutters. this is a major safety concern. i have almost been hit because my vehicle would not accelerate when i had my foot on the gas.
Accelerating is jerky and many times does not shift correctly as speed increases (into next gear on left hand side ). also, as vehicle goes down small hills it seems like it doesn't understand how to handle the decease in acceleration. also, when shifting from reverse to drive, it takes at least 30 seconds to correctly respond. i brought vehicle into shop, they stated it was the vehicle getting to know how i drive.
Stalling in the engine and knocking into the engine. there is also a stall upon acceleration.
Jeep does not accelerate properly. still has other issues stated in other complaint; grinding, lurching. this car is a fail. filed a lemon claim that was ignored and am about to re file for all the other problems occurring. i can't use cruise control because the rpms get waaay too high for me to trust. the hills between payson az and show low az are too much for the computer to manage, i'm worried the engine will blow. air bags did not deploy when i was rear ended. now i know why. they are recalled. this is a death trap i am paying 32k for, and i am livid. i will never buy jeep again.
New car, 2 weeks old with 800 miles will not hold speed with cruise control while going down hill. in fact , the car actually accelerates with engine. this happens at all speeds. dealers and factory says "it is a characteristic of all 9 speed transmissions". it is a dangerous situation. in another transmission related issues, the car makes a loud clunk when driving between 30-50 mph on a flat road when lightly putting foot on accelerator. it is so loud and hard you can hear and feel it over the radio. again we are told this "is a characteristic of the 9 speed transmissions"! unacceptable! a class-action lawsuit needs to filed against the manufacturer.
I noticed a lag in a increase in speed & stalling in the engine when the vehicle is in operation.
Brand new jeep rail hawk 34 miles at time of purchase 410 miles knock sensor and check engine 1812 miles etc and map sensor 2325 miles etc the last two times lost all throttle and no power going up vail pass in co. almost rear ended by a semi and had to pull over on the shoulder, limp mode.
Everything down to the engine has been replaced and still having problems with the idle being high sitting or moving, usually a very quite vehicle is now loud, smells like gas is leaking, auto shut off works sometimes, the unlock button on the handle most times won't unlock, when there's no one in the jeep and the button is pushed on the handle it says to push break to start the vehicle while still trying to unlock the doors and outside of the vehicle, hesitates to take off at times while pulling out from a stop sign or to pass someone
Breaks feel worn out and when i break you can hear noise.also the disc look worn out and vehicle is beginning to drive poorly.
Driving approximately 30-40 mph when slowing down to approximately 10-15 mph to yield for oncoming traffic or a red light the vehicle will have a delayed response to any acceleration input causing a dangerous situation (ie. if trying to take off in front of another vehicle due to space but realize they are traveling much faster than anticipated you are unable to get out of the way due to car not responding to pedal input immediately).
The car will stall in the middle of road with no warning. it happens most often when going up a slight hill and making a left hand turn. dealer says it is low on oil pressure(the car is 5 months old and they say it was 2.5 quarts low on oil!!) and a safety switch shuts down the engine in the middle of road/traffic!! i call this "safety feature" to protect the engine a"danger switch" that endangers traffic. i believe this is a major safety issue for all traffic because these jeeps are stalling in the middle of traffic. i have a 45 second video that shows the stall. please help get this problem solved!! *dt*jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 jeep cherokee. while at a stop, the vehicle accelerated forward without warning and caused a front end collision. there were no warning indicators illuminated. a police report was filed. the contact suffered injuries and received medical attention. the vehicle was driven back to the contact's residence. the dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 10,000.
Brand new jeep cherokee latitude plus 4x4 v6 9 speed,3,100 miles. the cherokee has a grinding noise going over speed bumps in the back of the car. sounds like gears aren't meshing properly. i have to turn off the traction control every time i go over a speed bump to correct the issue. rpms get super high before the jeep decides to change gears and kick up. the other issue is the car lurches forward when i brake coming to a stop. not always but enough to make me weary in parking lots. mostly drive in the city.
My car shut down twice while driving on the expressway. there was plenty of gas and no reason for it to shut down. all of the dashboard lights flashed and then there was no ability to steer or control the car. i had break, switch the gears from drive to park and then restart the car. luckily traffic was slowed or else my child and i would've been hit from behind. i took the car to the dealership and was told that the oil was low and it could be excessive oil consumption. that could have lead to the stalling. there were no warning lights involved.
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 jeep cherokee. while driving 64 mph with the cruise control activated, the rpms increased to 5,000 and the vehicle accelerated to 89 mph. when the contact depressed the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate. once the cruise control was deactivated, the vehicle decelerated. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
Was at a 4 way stop sign getting ready to pull off when vehicle stop working. tried to recrank the vehicle but it took 5 minutes to start again. called dealership and took it to the service department. about a week and a half later vehicle started having issues again. vehicle started to stall and have a very slow take off. take off was so slow until i had to sit 15 minutes before take off.
My 2019 jeep cherokee latitude was just exiting the interstate and approached a light on the off ramp. upon stopping and trying to accelerate my jeep began beeping and the "drive (d)" started blinking on the dash and gear. during this time my vehicle would roll backwards to the off ramp unless the emergency break was engaged. i was not able to press the gas, shifting into other gears did not do anything and the breaks were locked out. i was sitting in the bike lane blocking traffic and hoping to not get hit. i was able to roll downhill about 50ft and steer onto a side street. once there i again tried to shift to different gears and nothing seemed to work. as mentioned my breaks were locked and the gas pedal was out of service. finally, after exiting the major intersection i tried turning the car off and back on and it seemed to clear the error. my car is currently in the shop for this problem. something needs to be done about this though. if this would have happened seconds before serious injury or deaths could have been involved.
My new car has 2,800 miles due for an oil change at 5 months/5,000 miles. the engine failed once for no known cause after 2 weeks in the repair shop. now my car died while in motion on busy roads and a highway ramp at speeds between 15-40 mph without warning or lights. this is sla safety hazard as the steering goes and car just comes to a stop without any warning. i had it towed after it's 5th time in 4 days stopping while in motion and shutting down. jeep told me it's empty on oil but yet the oil light indicator doesn't come on. they said it is a known issue without a fix for all 2014-2019 jeep cherokees. they are aware but are not fixing or addressing the oil consumption without light issue that puts drivers in motion at risk of an accident or losing their life. if no warning is coming on that your oil is empty long before a die oil change and my car can just die while in motion along with others as again they stated it's a known issue is a road hazard for anyone in these cars. my car is 3 months old and i feel unsafe driving it on any roads for fear i will be hit by another driver as it's just losing power and shutting down in the street in motion. jeep cannot fix this but knows about it.
I was driving down the street and all the sudden my car just shut off. i had no control over the vehicle at all. then it started driving backwards as it was in drive. i couldn't not get it to go into park and it took a minute or 2 to get it into park. the. the dash told me to turn the car back on and it wouldn't turn back on at first. this is the second time this has happened to me. the vehicle was moving and just all the sudden turned off. i went and checked the oil after reading about this with other customers and i had no oil in my car.
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 jeep cherokee. while the vehicle was making turns or idling at stop signs, it lost power and stalled. in addition, the vehicle failed to accelerate and there was an abnormal knocking noise emerging from the engine. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to 1-5 chrysler jeep dodge ram (1560 nw state ave, chehalis, wa 98532, (360) 748-1717) to be diagnosed, but the failure was unable to be duplicated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was contacted via certified mail, but there was no response. the failure mileage was 11,131.
Brand new car with 12 miles on it, check engine light on, will not go over 27 mph on hwy. when try to fill with gas it flushes back out the tank. already serviced for internal brake switch failure. after picked up, ran fine for 48 hours then abs warning light came on , a w/exclamation point light came on and message saying..."service stability control" now jeep is back in shop. do not feel safe in it at all.
