Problems with 2018 Jeep Cherokee FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Car stalls while driving. when letting off the accelerator, the car will make a beeping sound and car dies. it takes a couple tries to get the car restarted. this only happens while car is cold. once it is running for a while it doesn't seem to die. seems related to the complaints of recall u87.

Vehicle has stalled approximately 10 times in the last 2 weeks. some on the streets and 3 times on the freeway. half the time i was with my children. you have to put it back on park, wait about 10-15 seconds, then switch it on an off three times before it starts again.

Starting issues battery will not stay charged no help from dealership .or roadside assistance

The vehicle has stalled out three times while pulling out into traffic, the dealer said when the oil gets low it shuts off. there was no oil showing the oil stick at all and i have only 2,008 miles on it. it should not completely use all the oil in 2,000 miles.

Unable to fill gas tank - nozzle keeps turning off and spitting gas out of spout. tried slowing down flow but after tank is about 3/4 full it just keeps clicking and going off. this has happened at three different fuel stations over the last two weeks. my jeep has about 15,000 miles on it and this has been the story for the last 3,000 miles.

While driving car completely loses all power. becomes difficult to control. cannot be steered or moved. turning onto a street at low speed in a very busy intersection with streetcar tracks. car completely shut down and became inoperable. vehicle stuck in traffic with streetcar and trucks almost hitting it from behind. could not be pushed. *dt updated 10/18/18*jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 jeep cherokee. the contact stated that fuel leaked from the vehicle and a burning odor entered the cabin of the vehicle. in addition, the fuel gauge failed to display the correct fuel level. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v282000 (fuel system, gasoline). the dealer (bob brady dodge chrysler jeep ram fiat, 4025 e boyd road, decatur, il 62521, (217) 876-3800) was contacted and stated that there was a waiting list for the recall repair. the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 7,123.
