First the jeep could not move when we turn on the engine is on, we took it to the dealer and they fixed that problem saying it needed a battery. we let them put the battery in and took it home, next we get in the car to go somewhere, turn on the ignition, and a warning message appeared on the dash board saying low beam head light out we checked the lights on the jeep and they did not come on, the high beam or the low beam. this sounds like an electrical problem to me and that is why i think it should be a recalled vehicles, also, this car is like new because we have not been able to drive it much because of the problems we have had from it. when a car is running and cannot move we know that is a transmission problem, now this! please help us now!
As i am driving my car stahl's and everything shuts off. this typically happens as i am making a turn. this typically happens as i get closer to the date of my next oil change. the car shuts off completely and i must coast to a stop. after waiting about a minute i can restart the engine. this is a very dangerous situation as i am typically turning to cross traffic.
Turn the my vehicle on and all lights on my gear shifter came on and stayed on. a message on my dash was 'service shifter'
Front headbeams on high are so dim, it is a design flaw no one even flashes me when on high beam.
I've had to replace my low beams 10+ times this year. they keep shorting our. also have to have my engine thermostat replaced even though it's working fine. it's electrical keeps causing my check engine light to come on. and the fix is replacing something that is fully working. and because my check engine light is on i can't makw it through deq to get tags for my car. this is the 3rd (separate) electrical problem i've had with this car and i'm done. keep should stand up for their product.

I purchased a 2015 jeep cherokee latitude september 2018 with 64,000 miles on it. when driving vehicle on the street, the vehicle will jerk really hard like it is changing gears. if i am putting vehicle in reverse and leaving out of my drive way, the vehicle jerks. whenever i am driving at a low speed (0-45mph) the vehicle jerks. when coming to a complete stop, like a stop sign, red light, or heavy traffic, vehicle jerks once i accelerate. i took my vehicle to dealer to be serviced on november 3, 2018 regarding this issue and i was told they found no problems but there was an update (rrt) completed on vehicle. i took my vehicle back to dealership on saturday, november 17, 2018 for electrical component services and complained about the same issue and was told vehicle is not showing any problems but my thermostat needed replacing due to thermostat rationality code. i scheduled an appointment for a future date to the service. also had low beam headlight fixed was told the bulb didn't need replacing that somehow it came unscrewed. headlight was working before i left, later on that day headlight went out again. i live in houston where the temps re now in the 50s highs 60s and i had my heater on, all of a sudden i started to smell smoke like oil smoke. but i don't have any lights coming on on my dashboard. can you please tell why is my automatic vehicle driving like it's manual and with it only having 1 previous owner that all of these things are happening???
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep cherokee. while driving various speeds, the headlights failed to project enough light to see the road properly. the contact also mentioned that the headlight covers had a smokey film. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 52,000.
Without warning all the dash panel lights shut off. this has occurred twice. both incidents happened while driving straight on highways at dusk. ( 5:30 pm, march 7, 2018 on illinois i-72 and 8:15 pm, may 31, 2018 on missouri highway 6.) the dash lights came back on after 15 - 20 minutes and/or a restart of the auto. it was terrifying to experience a sudden loss of dash lights at dusk and travelling at road speed. cause is unknown to me. i plan to contact my jeep dealership.
2015 jeep cherokee. consumer writes in regards to concerns that the exterior lights darken 70% of windshield visibility. *ld the consumer stated the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle operated as designed. *js
Head lights are very dim, turned on bright is no better. lights are to small, i can't travel at night unless necessary because it's dangerous to travel with lights that dim. when making a turn at night it's pretty much guessing where you are, dangerous in the rural area i live in. the lights needs to be replaced before someone is injured.
Driving home the only lights i had was the top led lights, speedometer lights and radio light. no ther lights worked. the vehicle was in motion. if the lights did work when i turned my turn signal on the light went off.
The headlights are less than adequate. when oncoming traffic i can't see at all. it almost seems like my headlights aren't even on when i know they are. they are fine when your the only one on the road. however when it is raining or snowing it's so dangerous. i can't see a thing. and as a result i almost hit someone who was walking. i have told my dealership in one of their surveys that this issue needs to be resolved or someone will get hurt. i've told them it needs to be recalled. it's the only thing i hate about it.
When 2015 jeep cherokee front windshield wipers are turned on, the instrument panel lights dim. the vehicle was in motion on an interstate highway. maybe an electrical problem...unknown. this has happened several times, last being september 17, 2016.
On 9-14 my left headlamp burned out, and on 12-2 2016 my rt headlamp burned out. these were hid hd/lps. each cost me $215 to replace. i asked chrysler about this but got no response. i find it hard to believe two lamps would burn out with the car having approx. 30,000 miles on it. i believe this to be a defect in "philips" hid elements. *tr
Headlights are much dimmer than any car i have ever driven to the point of being unsafe on unlighted roads and lower visibility situations. how is it possible that headlamp performance is dimmer than headlamps of the old sealed beam design. ????????
Head lights inadequate. difficult it see at night and in rain impossible.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep cherokee. the contact stated that the headlamps did not produce enough light. in addition, when the high beams were illuminated, they were still dimly lit. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlamps needed to be raised. the vehicle was repaired; however, visibility was still poor while driving at night. the vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was inherent to this model vehicle. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 7,000. updated 04/14/16*lj updated 6/5/18*jb
Just purchased a loaded jeep cherokee trailhawk and noticed immediately during first night drive that headlights are hugely underpowered. the road is dark and i'd say they have less than have the brightness of my last car. i almost got in an accident the first night as i could not see where the center of the lane was when making a left turn. i subsequently got online and read a ton of complaints over new cherokee (2014-2016) headlights. this is so dangerous and unacceptable and yes, the headlights are working and i am operating them correctly.
Poor headlights; they put out very low light to see road at night. extremely hard to see when turning at night due to they are projector headlights .headlights can not be adjusted per dealer. issue is on- going.

Owner pulled into rest stop got out to go the restroom while wife got their 14 month old and 4 year old out and put them in the passenger front seat to feed them at this time the font passenger door was open with the under dash courtesy light illuminated for about 10 to 15 mins approximately as which time the door was shut and the car pulled closer to the rest stop and the owner got out and had a snack leaving the vehicle for approximately 30 mins when he returned and opened the driver door he saw smoke in the interior coming from the passenger side floor board area. he opened the passenger side door and observed a pillow and a womens purse located in the floor board with the pillow smoking and falling apart. he pulled the floor mat out on the ground with the pillow and purse on it at which time the pillow burst into flames. after removal of the pillow which was the source of the smoke fire damage and melting was noted to the area of the under dash courtesy light on the passengers side of the vehicle.
Headlights are dangerous and very dim by design. almost drove off the road so dim. can't see pedestrians or street signs.afraid of hitting some one crossing the street or getting into an accident. the dealership service said lights are working and adjusted as designed. have read thousands of similar complaints in various online forums. please recall before people lose their lives. if it hasn't happened already. dim lights when driving in the city ,highway, good weather, bad weather. totally inadequate and deadly dangerous under all conditions and circumstances.
Headlights are dangerously inadequate. headlights are very dim the beam pattern is very narrow. while driving in the city pedestrians are barely visible in front and to the sides not lit up very dim. many accidents barely avoided. when driving road is barely visible not lit enough, very dark. almost drove off road due to poor visibility, very dark. people will lose their lives because of poor headlights. high beams are not any better. many complaints online. company jeep chrysler now offer optional hid lighting standard in new vehicles. but not in older version left unfixed and extremely dangerous. obviously they know it's a problem but won't admit. headlights must be replaced with upgrade or risk death or serious injury. headlights are way too dim , like they aren't even on when driving. must test drive to recognize the problem. all circumstances are dangerous, highway, city, turning, slow, fast. no nighttime visibility. *tr
It is very difficult to see at night. the headlights are small and do not give enough lighting. we live in a rural area, street lights are only in city limits. we have missed turns and driveways due to not being able to see from the side on the vehicle. the lights are fair on bright but you can't drive on bright all the time. we hesitate too go out at night due to this problem. side and front vision is a problem. this problem has existed since purchase of this vehicle when it was new until present.
The jeep cherokee trailhawk is equipped with halogen headlights mounted low on the front of the cherokee. these headlights do a terrible job of lighting the road in front of the vehicle. they are both dim and do not shine the light far enough ahead of the vehicle. i live in a rural area and am very concerned about driving at night with this vehicle since there are always animals crossing the road. the high beams shine about as far as the low beams on my other car. i feel like i am driving a car with headlights from the 1960s.
