Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep cherokee. while driving approximately 30 mph, after the vehicle had been refueled, the electronic emergency brake erroneously activated. as a result, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. during the failure, the "put into park to switch gear" message displayed; however, the transmission shifter would only shift to the park position. in addition, the check engine and transmission service indicators illuminated. the vehicle was towed to the local dealer (burk auto group jeep, 1565 west ogden ave., naperville, illinois) where it was diagnosed that the evaporator control canister was faulty. the evaporator control canister was replaced and the purge control was reprogrammed, but the failure persisted. the contact indicated that the failures occurred only after the fuel tank was filled. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the failure mileage was 47,000. *tt *tr
