I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 with no lift kits, etc. at highway speeds when hitting a bump in the road it goes into what is termed a "death wobble." this is very searchable on the internet. the vehicle will so violently shake in the front end it is hard to keep it on the road and not roll the vehicle before i'm able to slow down enough for it to rebalance itself. it is extremely terrifying. i've had the tires rotated and balanced thinking i might have lost a wheel weight or something but it did not correct the problem. today i took it to the shop and was told i had a bad steering damper. but from what i've researched, others have had these replaced and the problem will come up again. jeep/chrysler needs to do something about this very dangerous situation as if no one has been killed yet i'd be surprised. i did have the steering damper replaced today but am scared i will experience this again and either wind up killing myself or some other motorist. *js

Intermittent a/c failure. beginning in 2006, complained to jeep dealership/service that a/c kept cutting out/quitting. evaporater replaced. i continued to have problems. a/c switch was replaced. i continued to have problems. compressor was replaced. i continued to have e problems. jeep was back & forth 1/2 dozen more times with same complaint. i continued to have same problem. now up to $2k. took jeep to a/c specialist. they replaced another switch & said system was over charged...evacuated system & recharged - $400. jeep continues to experience same problem. they (a/c shop) now say compressor clutch (part of new compressor) is working intermittently & jeep should honor warranty on compressor & repair clutch. *tr

I own a 2000 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 it has 116,000 miles on it. i have a problem with my fan just stopping and the engine overheating. i have a the fan relay replaced 3 times in the last 3 years and the fan replaced one time. i did not receive and recall on this matter. *tr

Brakes malfunctioned both right and left rotors were scored and ruined on the inside only. *bf the brakes failed at 33,809 miles. looking through the wheel from the outside, the outside of the rotors looked good with no unusual wear. the vehicle also had air conditioning problems and needed to have the muffler replaced. *nm

I had to replace my front rotors at 35,000 - chrysler said it's normal wear and tear and wouldn't fix them. there was a problem with a seal on the gas tank. i brought it in for service at least 4 or 5 times before it was fixed. a $2.00 wire broke inside the front door for the front speaker at 43,000 miles and they charged me $200.00 to fix it. the salesman sold me a convenience package that was purported as an extended warranty, but was actually a towing and rental car package. *ak

I have a 00 cherokee and the evaporator started leaking i only have 39300 miles on this car.i think that the evaporator should have had lasted longer than this.i researched this problem chrysler has had this problem since 1985. *ak
