Tl* the contact owned a 2011 jaguar xf. while the vehicle was operated, the contact was alerted by another motorist that smoke was coming from the vehicle. the contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and various warning indicators illuminated. after the contact exited the vehicle, it became engulfed in flames. a police report was filed. the fire department was contacted and extinguished the flames. the vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and deemed destroyed. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. there were no injuries. the failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
My gearshift selector keeps going out i was in the drve through, put my vehicle in park because i was idling too long, tried shifting back into drive vehcle would not shift, 2 hours later after several angry customers my vehicle shifted into drive, get home to put into park vehicle would not shift to park, so now im stuck in drive, couldnt do anything but sit and wait nothing, so i had to shut vehicle off and doing so vehicle rolled with no brakes hitting vehicle in front of me, luckily it was my vehicle, vehicle has not reverted back to operation still stuck in drive
