The vehicle was stationary and parked in my driveway with the windshield facing toward the street. passing traffic evidently kicked up a rock chip and caused the windshield to crack all the way down the middle. in my experience, it is not typical for a windshield to crack from the top of the glass all the way to the bottom of the glass due to a rock strike while the vehicle was stationary relative to the projectile.
