I experienced a cataclysmic failure of the airbag system. this occurred february 15, 2016, at 143pm, northbound i5, orange county, california. the driver curtain airbag and seat mounted side-impact airbag deployed while i was driving at 65 mph in the carpool lane. there was no collision. there was no indication of any warning symbols on the dashboard.
