Problems with 1999 Infiniti I30 AIR BAGS

Reclined drivers seat which activated "air bag" warning light continuously flashing. this is a serious safety flaw which needs to be fixed by the manufacturer. unknown whether air bag still works and very bright flashing indicator causes serious distraction while driving especially at night. numerous reports that this is a common problem on nissan maxima and infiniti i30. *tr

I'm the second owner of a 1999 infiniti i30. i've been dealing with the airbag light several times. i'm concern that one day the will pop and hurt me or my family. *tr

dt: contact stated the air bag light illuminated. the problem has been remedied twice, but within 6 months to a year the light came back on. the dealer did know why the light kept coming on. they did replace a module assembly for side the air bag, this did fix the light, but after approximately 6 months, the light came back on. the dealer stated if the air bag light was on the air bag may not deploy in the event of an accident. consumer has contacted the manufacturer, but they did not resolve the problem. *ak *jb

1 no event led to any failure. 2 air bag warning light blinks constantly for no reason distracting driver. 3 nothing done by manufacturer on defective safety device . *ak

While driving on the highway at 50 mph consumer's vehicle was side swiped by a semi-trailer on the driver's side. upon impact, the vehicle crashed into sand bags and other construction material on the side of the highway. none of the frontal airbags deployed. *ak *sc

I have a 1999 infinity i30, which has only 36000 miles on it, there was no accident or any repair done on tjis car, but the air bag sensor came on just like that and the dealer wants about $1250.00 to repair it.

Infiniti saw no owner damage to airbag. airbag never deployed. does infiniti have a problem with 90,000+ mileage vehicle initiating air bag warning? car has been maintained regularly-infiniti stated that since they did not do the maintenance, the airbag is failing! *ak
