The power steering hose sprang a leak. i had the car towed to an aaa service center. the technician expressed shock when the car was put on a lift because of the amount of frame corrosion, especially in the cradle of the engine, where there was actually a hole. he said he had never seen this kind of problem in a recent vintage car (2002). i bought this car new and it has been in a garage for most of its life. it has fewer than 90,000 miles. i'm told this is a serious safety issue because the engine could fall out at any time. others should be aware of this problem. *tr
Dt*: the contact stated that when the vehicle hit a bump, the engine audibly moved up and down within the engine compartment. the vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the dealer determined that the engine mounts were weak and needed to be replaced.*ak updated 8/14/2006 - the vehicles shock absorbers had to be replaced. the consumer believes the engine mount repair and shock absorbers should have been covered under the vehicle's warranty. *nm
