To whom it may concern, my 2013 hyundai veloster started having issues on 5/14/19 so i scheduled a service appointment for 5/16 at murdock hyundai. during my service visit i was notified by the service department that there was a recall (#182) on my car but they currently did not have a fix from hyundai at that time. my car was parked from 5/16/19 to 6/3/19 when i was finally able to take it back to murdock hyundai to have the recall issue fixed. the service department updated the defective software and my car drove perfectly. the next day while driving my car home from work it started having the same issues as it did before the update. i contacted the dealership and the soonest they could get me back in was 6/7/19 so again i was not able to drive my car. the service department inspected the vehicle and determined that my fuel injector and spark plug/coils were damaged and need replacement. on 6/11/19 i spoke with a gentleman named sean at the national consumer affairs for hyundai regarding the repairs needed and i was told that i would receive a call back after he reached out to the service department and i have not heard anything back. i sent him a follow up email on 6/18/19 and still no response. it has been over 30 days since this issue began and it's still not resolved. i work full time and have been relying on public transportation because i am not able to drive my vehicle without causing further damage. i don't believe that the recall update fixed the problem and has caused damage to my vehicle. any assistance you can provide in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

The 2013 hyundai veloster i purchased has had an issue where the car emits a sulfur like smell when accelerating. the safety risk is a faulty engine, and possible exposure to dangerous emissions. upon seeing the check engine light appear, i took it to the hyundai dealer for a diagnostic. hyundai informed me that the codes read p0420 and p0463. they recommended replacing and catalytic converter and fuel sensor but did not assess why the issues have occurred. they refused to cover under warranty, even though i had purchased an extended warranty with the vehicle. the check engine light then turned off soon after the diagnostic and ran ok other than the smell. the car has been regularly maintained at jiffy lube for each needed oil changes and service. jiffy lube explained to me that the vehicle has been low on oil numerous times since the issue started, despite the oil light not illuminated on the vehicle. upon further inspection at a different hyundai dealer when the check engine light turned back on, it was explained to me that the vehicles 3rd cylinder is not functioning correctly and that i would have to replace the engine. hyundai refused to cover the issue for the catalytic converter, fuel sensor, and engine. i suspect the failure of catalytic converter and fuel sensor to be related to the engine, despite the information presented and the service centers. i feel that hyundai has put my safety in jeopardy by refusing to cover this issue despite my purchase of a warranty that covers engine problems. included with submission are the records for maintenance, the original diagnostic, and the second diagnostic. the main cause is still unknown after paying for the diagnostic, the dealer did not provide a definitive explanation. kkb flagged a very similar model, same year, make and engine size with ref. 19v204000 for engine related issues caused by a software issue.

Experienced rough driving and engine rattling while driving above 40 miles. engine misfiring cylinder coil number 4 failed on 07/19/2018 and 5 months later cylinder coil # 3 failed. dealer replaced both at no cost

My climate cintril knob stopped working st different settings. sometime i get levek 4 firce of air when the selectiin is on 1. or other times i get air force of 2 when the selection is on 4. my ac also won't work once the knob started actung up. my second issue is my check engine light gies on and off. i got a reading of dtc p0087 but i am told there is no recall even thou there is a tsb out there.

I have a 2013 vitamin c veloster and i recently looked under my license plate in the rear and noticed a big hole in my bumper from melting, it seems to keep getting worse since last week when i noticed it. i took it into the dealership yesterday and showed the service guys and at that point my bumper and plate mount had fused together from the heat. i fear the bumper starting on fire right next to the gas tank. they took 3.5 hours to look at it and figure out what was going on. they claimed that they have never heard of or seen this issue and when they finished, wouldn't tell me any info. they gave me no paperwork, they just told me "take the car, we had to order a lot of parts and it will be a while before we get them in; we will call you when the parts come in and they closed the shop. *tr
