Problems with 2003 Hyundai Tiburon STRUCTURE

Takata recall air bag light remains on door handles inside and outside constantly break off even after being replaced by factory parts leaving occupants trapped in car also replaced camshaft contoller cause wiring is melting. contacted brandon hyundai dealer service dept they told me handles had been already replaced before and refused to repair also they lied and told me there were no further recalls for my vehicle but when i googled there are actually around 10 recalls for my vehicle and hyundai refuses to fix or even admit there is a recall..my control arms need replacing also.

Tl* the contact owns a 2003 hyundai tiburon. the contact stated that while attempting to refuel, the pump would click off early as if the fuel tank was full. in addition, the contact mentioned that both door handles fractured. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 130,000.

The lower control arm rusted and broke allowing the wheel to break lose and tilt in at the bottom. had this happened at highway speeds the results likely would have been loss of control and crash. it's a defect hyundai is aware of but failed to notify all owners. and hyundai is shorting the recall to certain states blaming the issue on road salt corrosion. while in fact it is a huge problem that hyundai is ignoring and leaving their consumers in harms way. there has to be many hyundai vehicle owners driving today in cars that are ticking time bombs. people will be hurt or killed if action is not taken very soon. all vehicles effected by this same manufacturing flaw are very dangerous to operate. *tr

- the clutch is slipping - the motor for the passenger door window has failed and the driver side is failing. - the driver side interior door handle does not work, and the locking mechanism is failing. *tr

This report is being filed by an accident reconstructionist at the request of the vehicle's insurance carrier. vehicle was proceeding in the left lane of a 4-lane (2 lanes in each direction, divided by a double-yellow center-line) state highway when operator's airbag deployed for no apparent reason, causing loss of control. the vehicle then drifted leftward across center-line and both oncoming lanes, and came to rest after mounting the curb and colliding with a fire hydrant. event was witnessed by two, separate, independent and involved motorists. vehicle's owner was the only occupant and was injured. owner purchased used vehicle in january, 2012 reported previous trouble with clutch, transmission, and that mileage at the time of incident is on known due to the for replacement of the operator's console, and was therefore estimated. its speed at the time is also estimated at 40 mph, the posted speed limit. *tr

My 2003 hyundai tiburon went into a hyundai dealership for the recall on the control arm. however, while there, the dealers found a rust hole in the frame that is consistent with the hyundai sonata nhtsa defect action number ea08016. the hyundai tiburon and hyundai sonata have similar frames and problems. this recall/action number should be expanded to the hyundai tiburons made within the same year as the hyundai sonata's that experienced this problem. *tr

2003, tiburon, drivers side window won't roll down, passengers side really slow, digital radio can't read number or letters. have changed head lights numerous time since purchasing the vehicle brand new in 2003. problems with the sunroof operation (opening-closing) glaze on paint peeling on side view mirrors as well as spoiler. any solutions for all these problems

While in operation of opening, sunroof caught sunshade and bent mechanism resulting in broken pieces and sunshade hitting driver in head causing bruising. result of incident caused injury to driver and sunroof mechanism to be stuck open until all broken parts were removed, sunroof does not operate properly now. *tr

Paint on the 2003 tiburon (teal/blue now called tidal wave) improper application results in scracthers appearing very easily. using fingernails softly against paint will scratch it. in other extreme conditions micro flecks of paint come off of hood and other parts of car. paint is much too thin for the mildest of road conditions resulting in rapidly aging appearance and condition. it is totally unacceptable. i would suggest a clearcoat applied or repainted.*ak

Drivers side door misaligned and has been to the shop 4 times and problem not fixed.*jb
