Problems with 2000 Hyundai Tiburon FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Fuel tank shut-off problem. unable to refuel car more than .5 gallon before shut-off valve closes. problem started slowly and sporadically over 5-year period, and progressed to full-time. also unable to determine when/if car is fully refueled, 100% of time when adding fuel. eventually, tank becomes overfilled and gas is spilled nearly 100% of time. online forums document literally hundreds of similar issues among other owners. hyundai dealership acknowledges problem, however no recalls have been issued. *tr

The consumer rear ended another motorist. 2000 hyundai tiburon *bf since the accidents, the consumer stated at times the vehicle would not start or at times while driving, the vehicle would stall. each time the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, they would replace different things, such as the fuel pump, o2 sensor heater circuit, relay, engine control module and the fuel pressure regulator. *jb
