My car was perfectly operational but suddenly during regular driving on the 101 highway it showed solid check engine sign. i checked the error and it read p0880 i had taken my car to the hyundai dealer (keys) where they diagnosed it as tcm internal failure and recommended changing the tcm after paying for the part and installation ($994.00 and $162.00 for diagnosis) the dealer installed the part and came back to inform me that the issue persists after part's installation and that they are going to work with the electricity to fix the problem. dealer informed me that they shall work on the circuits but not with any transmission problem. as this issue happened with regular use, i believe it to be manufacturing issue that must be carried out and fixed by hyundai.

My vehicle showed solid check engine light while i was on 101 freeway and after exiting to city road i could park and read the error code "p0880 power input to tcm", i reported the issue to hyundai dealer and they diagnosed the issue as internal tcm defect. dealer replaced the tcm but that couldn't fix the problem. and they just released the car as is. after a short while my car had become unable to reverse, and when set the gear to reverse, my car moves forward to make a very life threatening. i called hyundai corporate office but they didn't help. now, i cannot drive my car because it is unsafe and because because i'm not a mechanic to diagnose the problem while the dealer and the corporate don't help. i found out that the model of my car is a subject to recall for gear problem which is exactly what i face now. it seems that both of the dealer and the corporate office are aware of the issue in this particular model but they did not even mentioned it to me until i found it by myself. a car like that is unsafe for me to drive because it runs forward only even when the gear is reverse and if stops i cannot even push it backwards. a car with this defect is dangerous for my community. please help to force that company either replace the car for me, repurchase or repair it to full operational status..

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 hyundai genesis. while driving 30 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate while the accelerator pedal was depressed. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the failure was intermittent. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer (dennis hyundai of doublin, 2441 billingsley road, columbus, oh 43235), but the failure could not be duplicated or diagnosed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 23,000. *ln consumer has detailing 4 episodes which are literally life-threatening in nature. camshaft position sensor code malfunction and plan to replace it under warrenty. most of the similar episodes were reported to be due to a faulty throttle position switch (tps) and the recommendation was to replace it with an updated position switch. updated 9/12/18*jb

On june 2, 2017, i was attempting to park my vehicle in a parking stall at a minimum speed of 5-8 mph. suddenly, the engine revved up, instrument panel flashed and radio changed stations. when trying to brake the car, the brakes did not engage and i subsequently hit a wall. the airbags did not deploy. when the ealer came to get the car, the individual picking up the car indicated something was wrong with the breaking mechanism. however, the dealer and manufacturer says nothing was wrong with the car but won't provide the details of the report.

Electronic gremlins periodically hit. -at random times the front or rear sensors don't "see" objects. i have kissed bumpers with another car when neither of us saw the other, and my genesis failed to see. it's allowed me on at least two occasions to pull too close to objects in front. -worse, there are random episodes where the adaptive cruise control fails to see traffic in front of it. numerous times we have narrowly missed collisions when we had to quickly and forcefully apply brakes. i've experienced this as has my wife and more importantly clients! -the self-retracting mirrors frequently to not work properly and we have to manually override.

I owned the car for 9 months and never had a problem in the rain. it was raining and my car safety lights started flashing telling me that front collision warning was not working, lane departure warning was not working, blind spot detection was not working. and to check aeb system. hyundai told me that although it worked fine for 9 months, that the safety features may not work in the rain
