Recently reported ELECTRICAL SYSTEM problems on 2014 Hyundai Genesis

Car engine shuts off/stops running, without warning, while driving. has happened 3 times in the past 12 months. at slower speed, in town, coming to a stop or slowing for a turn. car starts back up right away, and won't stop again for a long time. also can't make it stop on purpose.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 hyundai genesis. while driving approximately 45 mph, the engine stalled without warning. the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and restarted, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to peacock hyundai hilton head in hardeeville, south carolina 29927 (843-208-1234) where it was diagnosed that the charcoal filter was overloaded and shut down the engine. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and recommended that the charcoal filter be replaced. the filter was replaced, but the contact did not feel that the vehicle was safe to drive. the failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

Headlights flash off or stay off when using the turn signals. at night when changing lanes or turning corners the headlights sometimes go off for a moment when engaging the left or right turn signal lever. also the headlights sometimes turn off and stay off when completing a turn when the turn signal automatically turns off. one needs to jog the turn signal lever to get the headlights back on. this can be recreated when parked simply by operating the turn signals. this is an intermittent problem whether moving or parked. this problem seems to be independent of weather, speed or road conditions. i have seen many complaints and examples of this condition on you tube.
