While driving at 65 mph in 4 lane i-95 rush hour traffic, the check engine light and the esc light both came on and the car would not accelerate. pressing on the gas pedal had no effect. i turned on flashers and drifted my way through 3 lanes and pulled over and restarted the car. the check engine light came on but not the esc light. the car ran a bit rough with the check engine light on. the exact same thing happened the next day. i took the car to the dealer, and they replaced the throttle position sensor. based on owner reports at the genesis owners web site, this has happened to many owners of 2009 v6 hyundai genesis. this is very dangerous, and the car should be recalled to fix this potential deadly situation. if i had been driving in the left lane of a highway, a serious accident with potential deaths could have happened. i had to pay 325 dollars to have this issue fixed since it has not been recalled. please work with hyundai to ensure this major safety issue is recalled urgently. *tr

When starting out slow, lise at a stop light, if it is necessary to lift off the accelerator briefly, the transmission seems to go into a high gear and the car just coasts with no power. by presing the accelerator hard, a jackrabbit start results when the transmission does finally shift down. this can be very scary. i have talked to other owners and this is a common problem. *tr
