When starting the vehicle with foot on the clutch, it lurched forward hitting a parking barrier. dealer denied mechanical causes. from the time i bought the car, it has accelerated on it's own, going to the max in rpms, at random times. i can take my foot off the gas and it will drive itself. when i try to come to a stop, it will accelerate and i have to counter by hitting the brake. when taken to the dealer, they couldn't "replicate" it. when i argued with the man, he said he would honor the warranty when they could replicate it, though the warranty is now expired. i asked for something in writing, he initialed the work order. also, the front, under the bumper, is way too low and made of weak material, so when i have to go over any kind of dip, it drags, which has caused the piece to break. this also got up into the fender-well, which caused a hazard with my tires. i am stressed and scared of having a dangerous accident. i am considering trading the car in, but worry for the next owner. i no longer trust hyundai. i feel like my safety is not a priority for the company. they do not search for the cause, just send me back out in a defective vehicle. *tr

Excessive smell of raw fuel from drivers rear tire area, entering into the passenger cabin area. dealership general manager verified gas smell and fumes with a senior tech. next regular tech cannot duplicate problem or symptom. *tr

Stability control warning light would come on, car wouldn't shift out of 2nd. made 3 or 4 trips to the dealer for that to get fixed. next, with foot on brake, car in park and fob in car, the car would not start. when you hit the start button, it would just go to accessory mode. two trips to dealer for that one. waiting on a tow now for 2nd time in two months with the latest issue - while driving, car just dies and won't restart. the first time, was told it was a 'loose connection to fuel pump.' very scary! thank god i wasn't on the freeway either time this happened! *tt
