Xm satellite radio volume is lower and has less bass than other sources. however, loading a cd in the changer and temporarily switching to cd then back to xm after every restart brings the bass, volume, and clarity back to expectations. dozens of others are complaining of the same issue on forums and messages boards. i should not have to perform a "workaround" by cycling through modes on the radio after each restart just to have decent xm sound quality. *tr
