Takata recall air bags

I received a letter from honda in july 2016 stating that my passenger-side airbag was recalled due to a faulty inflator. the letter states that replacement parts "will become available in late summer/fall of 2016." we are now into the third week of january 2017, and when i spoke with honda last week i was told that parts were still not available. i have not been able to transport passengers for 6 months and honda could give me no estimate as to when i can expect my vehicle to be repaired.

Takata recall i'd gotten a notice from art moehn chevrolet & honda and it said i need to have my airbags replaced. that was several months ago. i'm on some kind of waiting list. in the mean time i drive on an interstate highway daily to work. why aren't there enough airbags for the recall? are we waiting for more people to be killed? is the government going to give us free rental cars til enough airbags get reproduced?
