Tl*the contact owns a 2000 honda passport. while driving approximately 10 mph when the brake pedal was engaged, it exhibited resistance and failed to engage. within a few minutes, the contact was able to apply the brakes. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the failure occurred approximately three times. the failure mileage was 134,000 and the current mileage was 142,000.

When applying brakes on dry road surface abs would intermittently engage itself from 10-0 mph and cause the brakes to momentary lock up. the vehicle has been to the dealer on two separate occasions and they were unable to duplicate the problem. the consumer was concerned that this may cause a vehicle crash if this issue continued. *ak when decreasing speed to 15 mph or lower the brake pedal would begin to push back and tremble. there would also be a spring like noise which would sound like the abs when engaged in winter driving conditions. the rear wipers were inoperative. also when the defrost was on, the vehicle idle would go up extremely high, then drop, stall out and sometimes the abs would activate when driving conditions were normal. *sc *jb

While coming to a stop sign consumer depressed the brakes, vehicle never slowed down, and ran through the intersection. vehicle had four brakes jobs done, and was still having the same problem. *ak

The vehicle experienced extended stopping distance when the brakes were applied. *jb

Consumer received recall motice on rear axle damper lower mounting nuts in may 2001, and had recall repairs done. vehicle has currently been experiencing vibration when driving over 50 mph. when applying brakes there is a thump in back of vehicle. took vehicle to dealer about problem, and dealer stated will check to see what could be done. *ak

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 honda passport. the passenger side seat belts locks when a person occupies the front seat. the seat belt is restrictive, and the belt will not un-latch from the buckle. additionally the abs system will not activate in situations that warrant. the vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, and the locks on the seat belt were replaced. he has spent over $2800.00 replacing various brake components. the failure mileage was zero. the current mileage was 64,000.
