Cylinder number 3 has misfired multiple times in last 14,000 miles. spark plug 3 had a lot of carbon. we changed all spark plugs and the pc valve in july 2018. it misfired few times in 2019 but then worked ok after restarting till feb 2020. it misfired multiple times and we now changed all spark plugs again and ignition coil of cylinder 3
Today i found out that my pistons were bad in my 2013 odyssey. i had just had my points, plugs and wires changed out in late november early december. i was surprised to see that this is a common problems with the odysseys. i had taken my van to auto zone to have it diagnosed and it said code p0302 indicates that cylinder 2 had to many misfires same code that is in the extended warranty for this issue. i was told that my vin number was not on the list to serve. wow. i asked why and the customer service representative stated because that no one had complained with that vin number. well if you ask me the vin number is different for each car, or am i wrong?? how would i complain if the problem had not started as of yet? knowing that this is an issue with the 2013 odyssey vans. it should include the ones that you built for that year. not just the ones you had complaints on. it is ironic that the same issue is occurring in my van. when the ...
Stalls randomly while accelerating from stop. appears to be ignition switch issue. could cause a crash resulting in injury especially when pulling into main street or highways from a stop.
Burns excessive oil under normal driving conditions and constantly adding oil. in addition the check oil and/or check engine warning lights do not come. several occasions have found it bone dry.
Initially the vehicle would randomly turn off while driving, it was not the idle stop since it is deactivated before driving. the dealer eventually said it was the battery. then the infotainment system stopped working, the radio was replaced after a week of being at the dealer. now 3 weeks after repair, the infotainment system does not work. has a noise that comes out of the speakers like sparks, has a chemical smell, no res usage, no cabin watch or cabin talk. everything that made the elite trim desired does not work.
The car has 27,000 miles on it. the engine mount is being replaced due to it being bad, the radio is very delayed and crashes and the sliding door keeps sticking and i have to force it closed.
When driving the car it makes a weird sound while i wait in a red or stop sign then feels like the van goes backwards. if i try to turn on the engine it's really hard i try to drive or reverse the the van starts shaking and the engine turns off.
The car is currently registering individual cylinder and multiple random cylinder misfires. when starting- the engine will vibrate excessively for a short period of time then will even out and run normally. at idle, the engine will experience mildly excessive vibration. i have taken the car to several repair shops and have replaced coils and spark plugs. one repair shop mentioned a valve timing control code on their diagnostic equipment. i took the car to an official dealer for the manufacturer and they did not identify this code. the dealer indicated that a valve adjustment was needed. i then retrieved the car and had an alternate dealer for the manufacturer diagnose the issue. this second dealer service department also indicated that a valve adjustment was needed. the valve adjustment repair was performed. the car drove normally for a few days then began reand an gular moderate to heavy vibration, the 'check engine' light flashed on and off then eventually stayed on continuously. the car was returned to the dealer who had done the valve adjustment and the dealer indicated that the car engine needs to be replaced or that both head gaskets ...
2019 honda odyssey ex-l purchased new in september 2019. at approximately 7,000 miles of use, developed noticeable metallic rattle and associated engine knock-like noise. dealership of purchase was notified and vehicle was brought into service. after six days, owner was notified that most likely defect was a failed main bearing in engine crankshaft assembly and that honda cars of na would replace engine.
The transmission is not smooth at all. rough and delayed shifts. my car minivan only has 35,000 miles on it.
