Problems with 2017 Honda Odyssey POWER TRAIN

The vehicle was in motion on a street and normally decelerating from 30 mph towards a stop light. without warning the car suddenly decelerated and stalled the engine. it was as if the transmission shifted into park. this happened three other times and eventually, the car would not shift into reverse despite indicating that it was in reverse. only on the 5th trip the car had a warning error light appear. the car had to be towed to the dealership and they found a catastrophic transmission failure. the car was about 1 year old and had less than 11k miles on.
