Broken front strut coil spring while driving on the highway i heard a loud metallic sound when going over a bump or rough road conditions. i then noticed the noise while driving on local roads as slow as 25 mph.

Van only has 61,000 miles and the transmission will not shift into gear when driving, it just revs at very high rpm's. also when making a left hand turn there is a rattle in the left rear tire area like a spring is broken but there is nothing visually wrong....

While backing up slowly (appx. 2 mph), the vehicle's right rear wheel made light contact with the curb. the steel steering knuckle (often called the spindle) for the rear passenger-side wheel sheered off, making it inoperable. this was witnessed by bystanders who can attest that the incident occurred at a very low speed. three mechanics have stated that such a failure should never happen at any speed, in any situation. nevertheless, american honda motor co. will not investigate the possibility that the factory-installed knuckle was faulty and will not tell me how many other similar failures have occurred. they refuse to cover any portion of the cost of what others have classified as an unprecedented failure. *js

We purchased a 2010 braun entervan in late 2011. it was new with 17 miles. we noticed water collecting under front seats at about 15000 miles. it was rusting our seat anchors which could lead to failure in a crash. it also has persistent steering problems and tire wearing at 15000 miles. it was returned to braun for repair because we insisted and worked closely with the braun corporation. they attempted repairs but returned to us with more issues and a continued steering problem.this was their first year doing a honda entervan conversion and they have offered a 5000.00 supplement toward a trade. our local dealer has led us to believe he would trade but will not follow through, i firmly believe he does not want this vehicle back. he said it was a junk deal. it was good enough for him to sell us. i believe this braun honda entervan 2010 model may need a formal recall. some handicapped people may not be removing the front seats to notice these water problems and possible mold when the carpet remains wet. i also have concerns that carbon monoxide could be entering the vehicle if water can get in close to the firewall. we believe during the conversion something got out of alignment causing excessive tire wear and steering problems,. i have kept all documentation and have photos of the rusted anchors and the water puddling and even frozen in the winter. *tr

At low speeds from 20-35 miles per hour, the vehicle abs causes braking to fail to halt the vehicle in the anticipated distance of other cars. it takes 3.5 car lengths at 18-20 mph, which can lead to rear end collision with the vehicle in front of you. you are forced to keep double the normal number of car lengths behind the vehicle in front of you. and your front wheels start sort of 'hopping' causing partial loss of traction, during the abs cycle that probably shouldn't be engaging. i had the same experience with my prior 2007 honda accord hybrid, only worsened by the various hybrid components kicking in and out, including the regen braking, and the engine cutoff, as well as the abs and the transmission downshifting. i had two minor rear end front end accidents but frequently found myself skidding into intersections. both vehicles also suffered from difficulty regulating speed without using the brakes, and very sensitive speed braking. nonetheless, i think the abs, suspension and the braking are combining to cause the vehicle to partly lose traction and leads to extended braking distances at low speed. i have not only repeatedly written and called honda about this particular problem, i've even threatened to terminate my lease agreement over it. honda's only response to my calls and letters since 2008 is that 'there is no outstanding recall regarding the condition you are reporting', to which my comment: "there darn well should be!" falls on very deaf corporate ears. *tr

At 7000 miles, the transmission made a very loud grinding and rattling noise, shaking the vehicle, when shifting from r to d. this was repeated at 25,000 miles several months after the software upgrade. in july of 2010, vehicle was brought in for memory steering, they replaced the right strut. november of 2010, the vehicle steering is unstable at low speeds when turning left. the sensation is either over-activity of the power steering pump or under-activity. vehicle seems very unstable under low speed driving conditions, especially on bumpy roads. vehicle taken to dealer, they could not identify anything abnormal. *tr
