After i bring my car to dealer they fix the srs control unit recall, then the srs light always on then they tell me need to pay for the part opds unit will not initialize. why i have to pay for opds part before my car never have that happen.

I was driving to school, and the transmission was acting funny. i drove it approximately 30 miles to our dealership. luckily i made it. the highest speed i could go was almost 40mph. pulled into the dealership at 8:30a.m. and waited. was given the news that it was the transmission, and it was almost $6,000.00 to replace. they had me. didn't know what to do...and had to pick up kids at school at 3;30p.m. ended up sinking $40,000.00 into a new 2014 odyssey. boy do i feel taken! and then to find out there was a problem with honda transmissions from 1999. i do question the transmission of the one i am driving now....it shifts funny. my 2004 also always had a fuel smell. was concerned at times of starting it. we also paid to have the dash lights fixed....at our expense. didn't know there was a recall on that either......darn those dealerships!!! they got us on the transmission too!! *js

While coming to a stop for vehicles stopped at the traffic light at the end of my street, i rear-ended an oil truck in front of me. my driver's side airbag deployed as i applied the brakes to stop, causing me to lose control and hit the oil truck. my vehicle was totaled and my injuries were not severe. *tr

About 2 years ago, the window actuator failed on the passenger side, i paid to repair this. over the last 6 months, another 4 actuators have failed. one of them is the lock actuator on passenger side, second is the lock actuator on left sliding door, another is the window actuator on driver side and the actuator for driver side door lock. the problems of this magnitude are a serious safety issue as the window actuator on driver side suddenly failed while driving and was scary as the window just fell into the door. the other actuators failing with locks and doors can be a serious problems, especially with children in the vehicle where the window or door suddenly opens or closes. this seems to be an electrical component problem that need to be addressed by a national recall. *tr

My 2004 honda odyssey has a repeated problem with its "brake light switch". this term can be misleading - it has nothing to do with the brakes. what happens is once the car is turned on, or sometimes already on, and you are about to switch gears, the car is in no gear at all. even the owner's manual has a "fix" for this under "shift lock release". this has happened on and off in my car for over 2 years. i have a honda dealership correct this to only have it happen again and again. the problem with the "shift locking" is it may happen 3 times in one day and then not happen for 5 days. the dealership says they cannot replicate the item so they cannot fix it under warranty from the previous time. *tr

2004 honda odyssey van. the ignition switch and turn signal switch fail to operate correctly. the turn signal switch assembly had to be replaced by the local dealership because the relay switch in the steering column would begin to activate while driving producing an electric odor. the turn signal relay switch was replaced at approx 110,000 miles. the ignition switch is now being replaced because the ignition key cannot be inserted to start the car routinely without being manipulated. when this car was relatively new and under warranty the fan switch had to be replaced. the car now has 150,000 miles. my concern is that the electrical components in the steering column are defective and that the turn signal relay switch had the potential to burn; and the ignition switch could fail during operation of the car. the ignition switch is a defective part, or the part is from an a prior recall of 1999 to 2003 ignition switch's recalled by honda that were used in later year models. potentially, the 2004 models should have been included in any recalls of the ignition switches. *tr

The high beam has a single halogen light for both settings. when switching from low to high beam the light fails to project far ahead . this reduces extended visibility as needed for the high beam. dealership stated that they were unable to make observations due to business hours in order to correct the problem. *ak with a single halogen bulb, when switching from low beam to high beam, the low beam element goes out and no longer works resulting in a dark sensation ahead of the vehicle because the high beam light is further out and is too dispersed. high beams are unusable in this condition.
