Electronic starting issues. constantly fails to start. i put a new battery and also changed the battery to the key fob but still having starting issues. it intermittently fails to start. sometimes it will take multiple tries before it will start. the vehicle has only 30,572 miles and this should not happen. a few times i actually had to attach a jump start power system to start the vehicle, everything in vehicle comes on normally with power just doesn't start constantly. happens constantly no matter how far i drive.

With the motor running and the car either stationary or moving, the right dash pod displaying led readouts of the odometer, fuel level remaining, running miles per gallon, trip odometer, time and outside temperature will intermittently blank out, sometimes to return as lcd gibberish in anywhere from 10-30 minutes, after which time information may or may not come back in accurate form during the course of a trip. purchased the car on 1/24/2020, has happened 3 times since then, most recently on 2/5/2020. documented by many others on honda fit website www.fitfreak.net (2015 honda fit fuel gauge display failure).

Hello, the car won't start. it's a keyless start button. button, panel, music, lights and all start. everything's normal but the car won't start or turn over. i lower the handbrake, press down on the brake and press the starter button but can't get the engine to start. it has started after numerous tries. but the problem persists. i can't reliably expect to start the car. please advise as i see many complaints posted on the web.

Fuel guage display blanks out, then returns garbled. see attached image.

The small screen behind the steering wheel that displays the fuel level and odometer will occasionally display gibberish or just display nothing. the backlight will stay on while this happens. it so far clears itself after a few minutes and seems to be more common on colder days, but im noticing that im not the only person affected by this issue and would like this to be addressed by honda.

The guage that reads the mileage and gas level in the dashboard is glitching excessively. there will be times the screen is completely blank. other times it is unreadable. it happens whether the car is newly turned on, being driven, or if i restart the car. was also not fixed with a new battery. it began a couple times in 2017 and it is now turning into a daily occurrence.

Fuel injectors failed at 104,000 causing a $2k+ repair. routine maintenance was followed per the manual.the push button start also failed at the same time. i believe these issues speak to the poor build quality at the plant in mexico and represent a small portion of the issues inherent in this vehicle.

The instrument cluster that shows the odometer and fuel gauge randomly doesn't appear when i turn on my car. it usually happens when it is cold outside (less than 55-ish). the screen will turn on sometime after driving 4-10 miles. at first the screen will look garbled, but then it will be fine. it looks like a ton of people are reporting this problem.

Fuel gauge, odometer is glitching. sometimes just doesn't show anything

When i turn on my car, the odometer no longer displays information. every once in a while, it will flicker and glitch and sometimes come back. however, most of the time, i am unable to see my fuel gauge, which is a safety issue. this started back in november 2019, and it now happens every day.

Fuel gauge and mileage display malfunctioning - flickers on and off with incoherent numbers and symbols. will go off completely and remain blankly backlit, sometimes comes back on and flickers and off again. it was flickering when i started the car in the morning and while i was driving.

While merging onto the freeway all the lights on the dashboard lit up and then the car began to sputter as if it was out of gas (but the tank was full), then the car died and would not restart. was able to pull over on the side of the freeway but it was a very scary place to have this kind of issue.

My key ignition light went on starting 9/2019. i went to the dealer and had to get the electrical panel related to the ignition and starter replaced. it might be related to the recall of the 2013-14 model where the front panel had to be replaced.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda fit. while driving 25 mph, the transmission warning indicator illuminated and the shifter light was not functioning. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified. the failure mileage was 58,400.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda fit. while driving approximately 20 mph, the tire pressure monitoring system, electric power steering, check engine, and stability control indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to lujack honda (3707 n harrison st, davenport, ia 52806) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors failed and needed to be changed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 09535823. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 32,161.

Dash screen goes blank and can not read amount of fuel left or current mileage.

Dash screen goes blank and can not read amount of fuel left or current mileage. took the car to honda dealership but they were not able to replicate and fix the issue. this is the faulty part and need to get it fixed

In colder weather, gas gauge does not work. when car warms up comes back on. however, could take up to ten minutes. when driving, could run out of gas without knowing.

While driving on the interstate at appx 65 miles per hour during the evening of 2/14, all the warning lights on the instrument panel briefly lit then shut-off. the engine also shut down causing me to pull to the side of the road and attempt to restart. after depressing the electronic ignition button about 10 times, the vehicle finally started. this vehicle has been experiencing issues with not starting since 02/02. the dealer replaced the start button on 2/5 and replaced the starter on 2/12. even after those replacements, the car still has issues starting.

The lcd screen that has your gas gauge mileage trip milage. tempture stays blue when it below 43 degrees but goes back after driving it for 10 minutes only in the morning

The dashboard electronic display containing the fuel gauge and mileage goes blank (blue screen) when it is colder than about 70 degrees outside. the information in the display reappears when the temperature outside is above 70 degrees or after i have been driving for about 45 minutes. this has been going on for 3 months. it is a safety issue to not know how much gas the car has. i have seen this issue appear in multiple forums online, all concerning the same electronic display in the fit going blank at lower temperatures. clearly it is a faulty part, costing me about $700 plus labor to replace.

While driving, all gauge lights turned on at once.

My car began lurching as soon as i pressed the accelerator to leave my driveway. cars go 50 mph on my road despite the 35 mph signs, i was scared i was going to be rear ended and had to yank the car over to the side of the road immediately. i was afraid i was going to be rear ended. what if the wires had been only mostly chewed and they came loose while i was on the parkway??

Rodents chewed through wires due to soy wiring. car would not start, but had some issues with acceleration previously that were likely also related to chewed wiring.

Vehicle has had two episodes of stalling and not starting. the first time it happened was less than six months ago when driving on freeway about 70 mph car stalled then restarted a few seconds later. we had hoehn honda carlsbad, ca check the car and they replaced the alternator. not sure that was the real problem. today the car exhibited symptoms of a low battery. twice today it stalled after driving for 15-20 minutes and would not restart immediately after parking. i had it jumped both times. i immediately took battery to auto shop who tested it at 100% charge. i put it back in the car and it started right up. when i got home ten minutes later the system again sounded low on power when i tried to start immediately after parking. i checked recalls on 2015 fits and one came up for "plug top ignition coil damage." wondering if that is what we are experiencing. note that the temperature was 93 degrees today in carlsbad. my wife recalls it being a hot day when it stalled on the freeway. just went out after sitting for 30 minutes and it started a little weakly, drove it around the block, parked, turned off car, then restarted it. it started more weakly than three minutes prior. all peripheral systems were off (radio, a.c., etc.).

The starter in my 2015 honda fit died. i purchased the car september of 2014 and the starter died september 2017, that's a three year life cycle on the part.

At 1700 thousand miles rotors need resurfacing. starter needed to be replaced. transmission was replaced. all under warranted

Unable to start car. battery not dead. not a problems with starter. dealership unable to find problem. auto has low mileage. problems occurred in november 2016 and now in march 2017.

Faulty fuel gauge unit: unit containing fuel gauge, odometer, maintenance minder, etc. would "blue out" on cold mornings and take 10 to 15 minutes to return to activity. upon returning to active status, it would either be clear and readable or totally garbled with all info displays showing at once on top of each other. took it to honda who could not reproduce the failure but suggested a new fuel gauge unit as a fix. once the unit was replaced there have been no further problems. mileage at initial occurrence: @80,400. cost to fix: $547 for the unit, $89 labor.

My assist stability system is defected.. i had my car 2 years as of dec 15, 2015. the first problem 4 months after bought it noise in the engine.. now from dec 2, 2018 to january 22, 2018 in this short period of time i had all this work done to that defective car which gaplin honda dealership located at 11151 laurel canyon, mission hills, ca knew all about, because if the service director [xxx] would not have ordered all this work to be done and the assist stability system lights are still on as we speak. let me tell you all the work done in a 50 day period (that's ridiculous) a brand new .battery sensor (i paid) a new honda battery,(i paid) a new alternator( told them i was not @#$% paying because you know its a defect) they said they, cleared pcm ecm, tighten ground connectors if needed, installed powertrain control unit(they know i wasn't paying , they text me "you don't have to pay " bs . the problem still exist all three lights stay on tire pressure, stability light, power steering light (assist stability system) honda knew when they sold me the car it had a defect , only one owner leased it for 12 months honda put it up for sale dec 10, 2015 i bought it dec 15, 2015 five days later with only 29, 416 miles on it ; nothing should have been wrong with this car. honda has a class action suit against them regarding their "defective assist stability system " same problem like minds honda knew that's why they were praying the lights wouldn't never come back on so they can stick me with this defective car i still have it as we speak with all 3 lights on. look on "gotclassaction.com/honda defect assist stability system i comment on it in dec this year ([xxx]). honda was just throwing [xxx] up against the wall to see if it will stick. i have all my documentation, videos , pictures and text from my honda advisor to back every word i stated up to the "t" thank you information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda fit. the contact stated that the wires in the vehicle attracted rodents, who chewed through the wires. the contact was concerned for his safety. the vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the casing of the wires was made of a material that attracted rodents. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was not available. ma 10/21/15 *cn

Ignition button and hazard button are placed too close together and are similarly colored. twice, i have reached to engage hazard button and hit the ignition button instead. when the ignition button in engaged, the engine turns off. the first time i did this, i was going 65 mph on the interstate. i had to come to a complete stop, put the car in park then re-engage the ignition button to get the engine started again. the second time this occurred, i was on a small side street and was able to stop/re-engage much more easily. i do not know, did not know and did not find information in the owner's manual about what to do if the engine is disengaged at speed. this was extremely dangerous. the engine absolutely should not be so easy to turn off when driving. the first time this happened was about a month after i purchased the car, it happened again about 6 months later. i have only just reported because i finally had my vin number and my computer in the same place at the same time.

Have problem with the computer and already changed the dealers spent a month with her and after two days i handed it back to do the same. *tr
