Problems with 2007 Honda Element SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC

On average, the 2007 Honda Element starts to “feel” problems with the SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC and its various aspects after 22 000 miles.

Recently reported SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC problems on 2007 Honda Element

Premature failure of rear passenger disc brake at 22000 miles. loud grinding noise noticed coming from rear passenger wheel. brought to dealer immediately. rear passenger rotor and both rear pads needed to be replaced, front brakes fine upon inspection. after arguing with the service department got the repair bill down from $505 to $65. upon further research, i feel that the dealer just treated the symptom and not the cause of the problem and this is likely to occur again. not sure if this is related to the recent braking recall for honda elements and oddysseys or not, but just wanted to make a record of my experience for those who may have had to cover the full cost of their repair.
