Tl* the contact owns a 2018 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with a crash mitigation system. while driving 30 mph, the vehicle approached two steel plates in the road. the contact started to brake near a construction zone; however, the crash mitigation system suddenly stopped the vehicle. the failure almost caused the contact's vehicle to be rear ended. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the contact believed that the failure was due to a design flaw since the same failure occurred with his son who had the same model vehicle. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 15,700.
