I purchased this cr-v new from the honda dealership in sarassota, fl in feb 2017. o/s srs light keeps coming on. it is an intermittent problem. when it comes on, it stays on until the car is turned off. this has been going on for at least 3 months. i had started taking pictures of the actual meter panel speedometer with the o/s srs light on every day to show the frequency and magnitude of this issue. on 11/11/17, stored codes were deleted a few times at bradenton, fl dealership with no success. "system operating as designed" is what i was told by honda dealership. on 11/13 - 11/21/17, o/s srs light came on after codes cleared. returned to honda dealership in bradenton, fl. they checked pin fit at air bag connector and srs unit. continuity was confirmed. no mouse or water damage. driver's seat air bag was replaced per honda tech line. the dealership was in possession of our cr-v during these dates. on 12/13/17, o/s srs light keeps coming on. the bradenton, fl dealership. scanned for srs codes (same as before, 'b0020-13"), open or increased resistance on the left side. reviewed data withe tech line and they had dealership replace the srs control unit. initialized seat weight sensor to verify repair was completed. tech drove vehicle 85 miles to confirm repair was completed. tech line ref#4044223 on 12/14/17 the o/s srs light came on still. due to our vacation from sarasota, fl to ohio for christmas, the bradenton honda dealership could not provide a loaner for any out of state driving. so, we drove this crv to ohio with the o/s srs light on for 95% of our 2600 mile trip. negotiated with am honda and bradenton, fl dealership to bring cr-v back on 1/8/18. a honda 'technician specialist' is being flown in from torrence, ca to fix it. my wife and i retired from honda of america mfg inc with 50 combined years of manufacturing service building hondas.
I bought my car certified preowned from capitol honda in san jose. i was assured that the car had never been in an accident and it was a lease turn in. i had my airbags replaced last year and last week i rear ended a car and my car was totaled and the airbags never went off. i hit pretty hard. the report from my insurance is where i found out it had been in two accidents and was a rental. i should have been privey to that information when i was a shopper.

Front passenger airbag occupancy sensor does not detect an adult that is 5' 3" tall and weighs 100 lbs. the vehicle keeps the passenger airbag deactivated.
2017 crv awd 2 months into owning all lights on dash like brake system engine air bags, tirer, brake. i see spots of oil driveway but oil is always full. stalls sometimes when taking off. the other day the back wheels locked up causing the suv to stop in middle of road, and couldnt move forward or backwards. the suv swag side to side causing backend to slide sisde to side. making it very hard to keep the suv on the road. i have called about the dash lights all of them on and they said it needed to be rest. smell gas inside the suv. i had a 2006 honda civic brought it new i never had a problem out of it going 300,000 miles with no problems thats why i chose to get another honda, but with 2017 honda crv has been hell with all the issues and is a safety concern.
Driver's seat has collapsed on left side right below the air bag tag. took it back to dealer. they know about the problem. they did a quick fix, but it did not work. does this problem affect the function of the air bag? i bought the vehicle 4/28/17, and the seat has been messed up for about two months.
My mother and i traveled to visit my daughter that lives 3 1/2 hours away. my mother sat in the passenger seat for the 7 hour trip up and back. the amber or yellow light on the dash "passenger airbag off" was lighted the entire time that my mother was sitting in the passenger seat. admitted she only weighs 100 lbs and is 86 years old, but she is clearly an adult and should be protected by an airbag deploying in case of a serious crash. the airbag deploying in a crash could literally mean the difference between life and death.
Passenger side airbag indicator does not turn off, therefore the airbag does not activate, when a person weighing significantly more (100lbs) than the stated threshold of 65lbs as described in the owner's manual. this is a significant safety concern since the passenger is not protected by the airbag. honda dealer claims the weight sensor is correctly calibrated and working properly according to honda. the concern is that this tolerance of more than 35lbs is way too high and the airbag needs to activate much closer to the stated threshold of 65lbs.
The indicator light for the passenger air bag ('air bag off') does not operate consistently. a 112 pound passenger regularly rides in the front passenger seat of this vehicle. sometimes when this passenger is present, the passenger airbag indicator light ('airbag off') illuminates and stays illuminated during travel. at other times it does not illuminate at all during trips when the passenger is present. the indicator light is more likely to remain on when the vehicle is started before the passenger enters the car. this problem has persisted for 4 months.
