We have classified the 3 complaints from 2016 Honda CR-V about TIRES into the following categories.
Sidewall failed on two separate cooper discoverer srx tires within a month. there is a recall on this tire for this issue but in a different size. suspect problem may be more widespread. tires were installed on a certified pre owned honda crv purchased from berlin city honda in south portland maine.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v equipped with continental crosscontact lx tires, size: 225/65/r17 (na). while driving approximately 55 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out. the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and replaced the tire with the spare tire. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (americas tires in simi valley, ca) where the tire was replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. after investigation it was determined that the failure was due to insufficient inflation pressure. the manufacturer denied responsibility of the failure. the vehicle and tire failure mileage was 11,200.
Tpm light comes on after traveling 2 1/2 hours on highway at 75 mph. checked tires and constantly shows pressure high. tires checked day before trip at 32 psia with tpm light coming on during highway driving. checked tires after tpm light comes on and tire pressure was 35 psia. happened three times on trips over 21/2 hours of highway driving. dealer says nothing they can do. annoying since i will have to bring a tire pressure gauge and check all four tires to see when the tpm light comes on and see if warning is due to tires heating up during long periods of highway driving resulting in higher tire pressure. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v equipped with bridgestone dueler h/p (na) tires, size: 225/65r17 (na). while driving 55 mph, there was an abnormal noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. upon inspection, the contact noticed that the rear passenger side tire had deflated. the contact independently replaced the tire with the spare. the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. the vehicle manufacturer was notified of the failure. the tire and vehicle failure mileage was 3,500.
