On average, the 2015 Honda CR-V starts to “feel” problems with the AIR BAGS and its various aspects after 20 873 miles.

Recently reported AIR BAGS problems on 2015 Honda CR-V

We were traveling on a road at 55 mph. another vehicle abruptly pulled out in front of us at 10 mph. our driver attempted to avoid collision by swerving to the right median. the impact was our front driver side hitting the other driver's back passenger side. according to witness statements, our car went air born and into a multiple spin situation. we took out a guard rail. damage was sustained on all sides of the vehicle, except the roof. vehicle was totaled. police ruled fault was the other driver. we were wearing seat belts. luggage flew out the back window, approximately 30 feet into the road. the side airbags deployed successfully. neither front airbag deployed. glass in windshield was shattered, but part of the guard rail (we think) took out the glass in a circular pattern on the passenger side.

Airbag seat belt light remains on but is intermittent when this happens. not covered through honda or extended warranty. unable to get a code using a bosch live data plus code reader. seat belts do not retract properly. i do not know if this is part of the honda recall or recent federal investigation open on the airbag control unit. this airbag/seatbelt light will stay on the entire time i am driving. bu may not duplicate the next time i start up the engine. very concerned as honda ma not be able to duplicate as light intermittent. please investigate thouroghly:

No deployment on collision, driver broke the breastbone

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while driving 5 mph in a driveway, the brake pedal was applied, but failed to respond. the vehicle accelerated and crashed into a tree. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the contact stated that only the side air bags deployed. the contact was injured and sustained multiple bruises and cuts, which required medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic's holding lot. the local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 35,000.

I had just returned from the grocery store with one of my daughters. we pulled into my driveway and my 2015 honda cr-v ex-l was stopped and my foot on the brake. my car was at a complete stop with the engine running. before i could put the car in park, the engine suddenly revved up to a very high rpm and lunged forward. even though my foot was on the break, i was unable to stop the vehicle and the car ran of two different sets of bushes before running into the southeast corner of my house! the driver's side air bag deployed. my daughter was in the front passenger seat and (maybe luckily) her air bag did not deploy. the airbag may be a tanaka airbag. i hit my airbag with such force that the air began to smoke. my daughter's was injured and she suffered a very bloody nose when her head hit the dashboard. i suffered bruises to my abdomen. the force of the crash knocked the plaster off the inside of my kitchen and threw it 10 feet. the studs were knocked off the moorings. because my house was built in 1929 studs did not brake and the damage was only cosmetic. it is likely that the car is totaled and there will be significant costs in repairing the house.

On june 12th, 2017, i passed out while driving and hit a parked pickup. i was traveling at 50-55 mph when i crashed. my car pushed the pickup backwards 33'. the pickup pushed the car behind it 8' then that car was pushed backward into another car. my car and the pickup were totaled. my side airbags did not deploy. i was severely injured. i sustained 5 broken ribs, my left wrist was broken along with a bone in the same hand. i had a large hematoma on the left side of my neck and a baseball size hematoma on the left side of my abdomen. most of my injuries was from the seat belt. there was an abrasion across my neck. the muscles in my right chest were pulled. also the muscles around my right breast and under my right arm were pulled. on july 3rd , i had surgery to remove the hematoma on my left abdomen. it was athe size of two fists. i have worn a wound vac since the surgery and have 2-3 weeks to go. i received a blow to the top of my head. i had a. rise on my forehead and along the bridge of my nose. i believe the side airbags should have deployed. my injuries would have been significantly less had the airbags protected me. i'm requesting that you investigate who made the parts for the airbags and why did they not work.

Vehicle purchased in feb 2015. honda crv - ex. current miles - 11k purchased dealer - ocean honda, new port richey, fl servicing dealer - hendrick honda, bradenton, fl there was a ratcheting noise coming from the steering wheel every time i turn the wheel. this happened constantly during driving & making turns. hendrick honda in bradenton fl, tested it on 10/6/15 and mentioned that there is a steering wheel sensor that is causing this noise and needs to be replaced. they replaced it, but my steering wheel controls failed. i took it back in the next day on 10/7/15 and they fixed the steering wheel controls. the ratcheting noise came back a few days later and this time the dealership mentioned that they didn't dive deeper last time and the problem is with the steering wheel column. they had the vehicle for a couple of days and replaced the steering wheel column on 10/26/15. the noise went away, but another problem surfaced on 11/14/15. this time it was the airbag indicator light that constantly remain lit. the owners manual said that it is very important to get this checked out immediately. so, my car is back at the dealership on 11/16. even the service advisors are stumped and say that this is unusual for a brand new 2015 honda with 11k miles to have issues like this. i contacted american honda today and have filed a formal complaint stating that the issues arising are threatening my safety as a driver of this vehicle and honda sold me a car with serious manufacturing defects. they are investigating.
