Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while driving approximately 10 mph on a slope, the vehicle revved and did not stop when the brakes were applied. the contact slowly drove to the end of the slope and was able to stop. the vehicle was taken to three different dealers, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was operating as designed. the failure recurred and was not remedied. also, while driving approximately 15 mph on a different day, the alternator went out and the battery and check engine indicators illuminated. the vehicle was towed to another dealer where it was diagnosed and the alternator and drive belt were replaced. the failure mileage was approximately 14,600. ..updated 08/03/17 *bf updated 09/22/2017*js.. updated 9/27/18*jb
On a number occasions, i made a sudden sharp turn, & the engine stalled for a few seconds, this loss of power nearly caused me to either get hit in the rear, or being struck by an on coming vehicle. dealers said they've heard this complaint a number of times, but thet don't have a solution as honda has not put out a service bulletin. these crv's seem to have this and vibration problems, but either honda denies it, or has no solution. a car stalling when making a turn is dangerous.
Vehicle stopped and idling while in gear, vibration felt throughout the cabin. to the point where it is immediately observable, distracting, and could possibly give me a headache on longer stop-and-go trips. contacted honda consumer affairs and they had dealer perform the applicable fixes but issue remains. dealer claims they can't feel the vibration, however, they aren't in the car as long as i am (or are trying to cover the problem). honda claims they can do nothing else but they will inform me of any fixes in the future. also mentioned that i should report this issue elsewhere as they can no longer help me at this time. per their suggestion, i'm reporting this here.
Engine loses power, gears dont shift in timely manner, wouldnt go in reverse, while car is in motion and in traffic.
Vibration and rattling while driving car. i find this very distracting and dangerous and it happens at different speeds.
My wife and i purchased the 2015 cr-v ex-l awd on january 5 2016 at staten island honda. after only 11 days and 300 miles on vehicle as we were driving for a ski vacation i noticed a crackling noise when i would turn the steering wheel in either direction. i then noticed that none of the steering wheel controls worked or the radio. in addition to this my horn didnt work and my bluetooth would constantly say (htc is ok ) both my radio interface screens would always flash different maintenance malfunctions. my cellphone would also randomly connect and make calls. then as i was driving to get gas off the nj turnpike my horn started to go off non stop and i had to pull the horn fuse out from under the hood. i also noticed a very strong vibration when vehicle is idle and stopped at traffic lights on both driver and passenger side and now seems to be getting worse . our vehicle was serviced from january 19-21 and the mechanic stated that they replaced the fuses and the cable reel and said the vibration was normal. i did some further research and there is a lawsuit against honda in regards to the 2015 cr-v vibration issue. i do not feel safe driving this vehicle and feel that i was sold a $30k lemon . i have owned hondas in the past with no issues but after this experience and honda being aware of this issue and still sold these trucks the company has lost my trust. when going through my documents i noticed that i was missing alot of paperwork from my sales contract and i brought it to the attention of the sales representative. at first he said he gave us everything and then realized he didnt but didnt have access to the file room to give us the necessary documents. he stated he would get back to us and never did. so in all i would not recommend going to staten island honda due to their incompetent sales staff and i hope honda resolves all of these issues.
Suv would not start. vehicle parked in parking lot. outside temperature 27f. battery checked ok. dash board lights came on but engine would not start. attempted 6-7 times. dash board lights just flickered with no response from engine. turned off ignition for 25-30 minutes and engine started with another attempt. vehicle driven to local honda dealership.
When car is on idle with drive gear , the car gets vibrate and it gets worse when air condition is turn on. after the repair of service bulletin 15-046, the issue is vibrating and it gets worse when turn ac on. the first service was on 1/7/16 with 136 milages and the second service was on 1/19/16 with 678 milages with no resolution. when i drive to work, the vibration and shaking cause my body get nauseated and headaches.
Bought a honda crv-lx 2015 two months ago only to have a vibration problem after three weeks. hondas fix was to put new head rest with shorter post and bushings under radiator, rear tail gate , transmission and engine so as to mask vibration problem. after doing this the steering became hard not like it was when we first got the vehicle, the steering goes from very easy to almost manual i consider this a safety problem. unfortunately honda of america will not acknowledge that it was a design flaw and the car should not be sold. it vibrated at a stop very bad then it feels like you have studded snow tires on at 40 to 50 miles an hour which they claim is a software fix there is a class action law suit in california against honda for these problems.
We purchased a new honda crv 2015 december of 2015. the same week we took the car home, we noticed a very strong vibration at idle when the car is in gear, for example, when stopping at a red light. the vibration is so strong that it feels as if one is sitting in a 'massaging chair'. we (my wife and i) have gotten dizzy and nauseated from the vibration. we notified the dealership and american honda immediately. since then, the dealership attempted to repair the car 5 times and was unsuccessful. i then requested them to buy the car back and they denied it. they even said that they were not going to repair my car anymore for the same issue. the last time i took the car to the dealership was saturday february, 13 2016. in the repair order, the dealership clearly states that the vibration was present after the repair.
I purchased a year 2015 honda crv on may 8, 2015. i have just one complaint (concern) and that is the engine vibration at idle speed (while sitting at a traffic light). it's an intermittent occurrence but there most of the time. i read about the recently filed class action law suit case no. 2:15-md-2661 dated january 19, 2016 and i want to go on record about my vehicle. thank you *tr
Intermittent vibration while at idle or 2200 rpm while driving. taken to dealership for resolution 3-4 times but the problem persists. was advised by dealership where vehicle was bought to seek help from another dealership. manufacturer software upgrade did not address the issue, we were even advised the software update decrease fuel efficiency by 20%. brand new car running like a worn-out vehicle. honda says it is not a safety issue, firmly disagree, eventually consistent vibrations will cause parts to loosen. do we have to wait for accidents to happen before honda and the government to address this issue? when will consumer safety protection come first before profits and reputation? it is plain disgraceful...
Vehicle shudders and vibrates under light to moderate acceleration from 15 to 40 mph. dealer acknowledges same problem with other 2015 crv vehicles with the cvt transmission. vehicle must be driven in lower gear ('sport") in order for symptoms to disappear until vehicle reaches 50+ mph. dealer says fix must come from honda in the form of a software change.
2015 honda cr-v. consumer writes in regards to vehicle vibration problems and transmission/engine acceleration issues. *smd the consumer stated the vehicle was repaired but the vibrations did not completely stopped, it only got better. the consumer advised the rpm id the down shift of cvt transmission. updated 04/03/2017 *js
I purchased my car in may the recall was issued in march so obviously they did not pull the 137 cars affected. after 6000 miles with no warning, no check engine light no safety warning sign other then a rapping sound that continued to get louder until the car was inoperable. this started well driving down route 28.when i was contacted by the repair center i was told that 3/4 of the engine needed replaced. when i expressed concern with the results of all of the engine fluids being shared through out the engine and feeling uncomfortable with only fixing 3/4 of the engine. i contacted american honda. they didn't care that this had happened. that the car was not pulled and fixed when they issued the recall. american honda does not care about customer satisfaction. when i asked chris the customer rep that was assigned to my complaint to be transferred to a supervisor to fill a official complaint i was told "there is no one higher then him" he didn't care about my concerns for safety or about the investment i made in purchasing a new vehicle. so once you buy it your on your own they don't care about customer safety or concerns.
I noticed some vibration on the front seats of the car when i am at the stop sign an my car is in the drive mode (d) with my foot on the brake paddle. there is vibration when the car is in idle mod and this is very annoying,
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 honda cr-v. while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled, decelerated, and lost power. the failure occurred without warning. when the contact depressed the accelerator numerous times, the vehicle operated normally. the failure was intermittent. the failure occurred seven times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
Car r block or d block, the steering wheel and seats shake.
My current and 2012 honda crv along with my granddaughters 2012 civic loses engine power while in a turn. it feels like the engine is failing for a brief moment. i have reported this to honda but they didn't seem too concerned. i believe it could be a safety issue to me and other drivers. these events have been going on for many months.
Virbration. steering pulls left.the car has serious vibration at idle, @600 rpm, 1200 rpm, 1800 rpm and 2200+ rpm. this vibration transmits through seat, steering column, floor and pedals. back pain is induced within just a few miles of driving. feet get pins and needles and go numb as well as hands and arms fatigue quickly. driving is limited in range as a result. dealer attempted 4 repairs including reprogramming, remounting radiator and modifying engine. vibration was dampened in the seat only at lower rpms. mpg decreased from 33 mpg to 28 mpg. car pulls strongly to the left. having one hand on the wheel (e.g. reaching for a.c.) is not sufficient to keep it in a straight line. this has caused many near misses on two lane roads and now i just don't adjust a.c. unless i have to (foggy window etc.) i take i95 and this causes problems on ramps. i was told this was all related to the cv transmission, and it takes getting used to, but i had nissans with cv transmissions. for years. i have repair documentation but am unable to upload it at this time. please contact me if you need them. i returned the car to the dealership immediately upon discovering the problem (within 48 hours of purchase) and they took no action or attempted repair until i had contacted them repeatedly.
The 2015 cr-v is prone to severe vibrations at slow speeds and idle. the condition exists from the time the vehicle is sold and worsens over time. the vibrations are distracting.it happens when the vehicle is stopped, but in gear and the vehicle is accelerating and between 1,000'1,200 rpms.
Engine vibrates at idle and get worse if you turn on a/c. no solution to resolve issue customers are having.
. intermittently, when stopped at a stop sign with automatic transmission in "drive" mode and tachometer at 800 rpm, the steering wheel, brake pedal and passenger seat vibrate. i mentioned this to the service department at cambridge honda and they told me that they don't have a fix for this defect and that they are hoping that honda motors will be able to come up with solution to this defect at some point.....updated 12/30/15 *bf the consumer stated there is a vibration of the steering wheel and driver's seat when idling at 800 rpms. updated 2/23/2016*js *tr
I bought a brand new 2015 honda cr-v ex fwd a month ago. when the vehicle was little over 600 miles, i started feeling a severe vibration intermittently at idle in drive mode when i stop at stop signs. the frequency and severity increased now when it is about 1000 miles. just to check its severity i placed an empty plastic bag on the passenger seat and i could here the noise made by the bag due to vibration. it was as if like massaging on my back and back of head. when i reported it to service department, they checked and told me that its a know issue with all 2015 models and no fix has been identified. i called american honda also as per their suggestion and they also acknowledged this issue but said no fix is available. i'm wondering if there is any body that actually regulates auto makers to not sell vehicles having issues. if there is a know issue like this how can they keep selling the vehicles with issues and how does honda sales people don't know about this issue? its almost end of 2015 and when are they going to develop a fix?
I purchased this vehicle on october 18, 2015. i didn't know about the vibration issues until after i bought it. the day after i bought it i noticed significant vibrations when waiting at the light to turn green or to make a left/right turn while on d gear. both the passenger and driver seats vibrate as well as the steering wheel. the vibrating problem continues to this day. i am hoping this will not be a safety issue. i have never had to worry about my safety in regards to owning a honda until now. i have had 2 other honda cars previously and never had issues with them such as this one. i am hoping that honda will fix this problem soon because a new car should not have this kind of problem. if honda knew about this problem, it should have at least told its dealerships to divulge this information to prospective buyers so that they could make a more educated decision/purchase. if i had known about this i would have purchased a subaru instead. i have notified the dealership where i bought the car about the problem. i still need to get their service technician to look at it so that the problem can be thoroughly documented in the event of a recall. i want/need this problem fixed asap.
Bought this vehichle month ago. around 1000 miles on odometer now. vehichle have terrible vibration when stop in drive gear at stop lights or in slow traffic. vibration are strong and made me nauxious in slow traffic one day. i took car to dealer but they not accepting it as a problem but saying its a charactristic of this vehichle. they updated the ecm software but problem still there. i am afraid this can get worse and result into major component failure or safety hazard. honda should find the fix or stop selling
We bought our 2015 honda crv within a few months and less than 4,000 miles it started vibrating excessively looking online this seems to be a manufacturers problem. when we called the dealer they played dumb to any issues yet the amount of complaints our horrendous.
Honda cr-v 2015 vibration . last year i purchased a 2015 honda cr-v and as with most other owners, it has a bad vibration issue while at a stop in drive mode with foot on the brakes. i also vibrates at low speeds between 40 -50 mph and around 70 mph. i has been in the shop 4 times but still vibrates while stopped in the drive mode (in gear with foot on brake). i have filed a complaint with honda corp and they said even with the 4 suggested repairs which has already been preformed on my car by the local honda service center, this will not stop the vibration issue and that honda has no other known fix to stop the vibration issue and that they will not replace the car. the local honda service center verbally acknowledges the vibration issue but refused to put it on the service report that there is still a vibration issue. i see all the post from other owners with the same issue. this a distraction and i consider it a safety issue as one, time while i was setting at a red light, it started vibrating and while i was distracted by the seat and car vibrating, the truck behind me blew his loud horn and i almost ran the red light that had changed while i was distracted. i know there was a class action law suit but i do not know the status of it. they had to know about the problem prior to sending the 2015 honda cr-v to the dealers, but nobody informed the buyers of this issue.
At a full stop with brake pedal applied, excessive vibration occurs from engine . both passengers in front and rear can feel it along with driver. rpms drop below 600. feels like the vehicle is going to stall. only occurs at full stop when warmed up with brake pedal applied. seems like low rpm problem. will bring back to dealer this week. it seems many others here are experiencing same problem. this vehicle has less than 4000 miles on it and was purchased new . manufacture date was 02/15. wondering if this is problem associated with the current recall. please address. thank you. *tr
I purchase a new crv on 9/28/15, the first week driving it i notice a vibration on the front seat while the car stop at red lights, sometimes it got really bad, i was very dissapointed to have a brand new car with this annoying problem, i brought it back to dealer on 11/06/15. they tried to tell me that it was nothing, they work on it for 13 days, they toll me that it was a sofware problem and the fuel economy might get impacted by the repair. the problem is back, the vibration gets very annoying and i am afraid that with time safety will be an issue. the goverment should act in a proactive way before deaths start happening . i believe the engine is seating in a weak support and honda does not want to accept they have a defective problem with this crv. while taking a trip in highway i noticed the vibration felt worse, i change gear to neutral while waiting on red light to change and the vibration stopped.
The car is vibrating like crazy. we bought it brand new and i called the sales person after purchasing and he told me there are complaints about the vibration but nothing is wrong and that it is normal. the vibration is getting worse and am getting sick of driving a $30,000 car with vibration.
I bought 2015 honda cr-v ex just 4 week ago, it has a huge vibration that you can feel and see inside the vehicle especially when its stop and in idle mode or drive shift. vibration can feel in the seating, steering wheel, side doors, brake and gas pedals, shift knob and even the back passager seat. i bought this car for my family to enjoy their daily rides but their not, and keep asking me why has it. psychologically and emotionally my driving concentration are always affected, and that is unsafe for our everyday driving and to anyone who has this issue. i always feel sick every times i get out of this car, i feel my hand like i use a jack hammer after a while. dealer's service dept. confirmed to me that there are three issues that cause the vibration and there is no fix yet about the issue. i love honda eversince, it my favorite brand. i hope they can do something to fix it fast before any can get hurt..
Strong vibration on the front seats when engine is warm and rpms below 600.
Other complaints on this. when at light or when idle in parking lot with engine on, there is a definite vibration seems to be coming from engine; sometimes runs length of vehicle, and, is minor to moderate. when put in gear it pretty much disappears, but is a constant vibration and does not go away under the above circumstances. very annoying and bothersome for a new vehicle. have not talked to service about it, but will.
I purchased my honda cr-v touring 2015 on august 29, 2015,approximately five weeks ago. it has a vibration when stopped while in drive (like at a stop light or stop sign) it also has an intermittent strong vibration in the steering wheel on highways. i am very unhappy with my purchase and as i searched this problem on the internet, i've seen a lot of people are experiencing this problem. they all say when they take it back to the dealer it does not get repaired and apparently honda is acknowledging that there is a problem now. being that i work,i do not have time to go back to the dealer and sit there knowing (from other people's experiences) that it will not get corrected.
Excessive vibration while vehicle is in drive mode and is at a stop using the foot brakes. placing vehicle in neutral lessens the vibration. it is noticed during regular driving when stopped at a stop light or stop sign. the problem is constant and has been occurring since vehicle was purchased new in september of 2015. *tr
This vehicle has a 4 cyl. engine which may have something to do with this and the noise. when going up steep hill (all the time)/ takes long time to shift into 2nd gear, and, if let up, will shift but drops back down---must really go to get to 3rd gear. and it is noisy. engine and tire noise are loud on this new vehicle. will talk to service but may be due to first sentince?????
I purchased a 2015 honda cr-v with 35 miles. before my purchase i test drove it with no complaints. shortly after taking it home at about 500 miles i noticed i vibration while my honda cr-v is idling. i have taken it back to the dealer who has done nothing yo resolve this issue. i have also called honda headquarters who have also not offered me a solution to this issue. it vibrates real hard when i stop , it's idling or when i'm in reverse. it also tends to want to shut off . this is a major issue for me that creates a safety issue. for a brand new car this should be occurring . i'm afraid to drive it . i would really appreciate some help in getting some solution as honda and the dealer is not helping me. i feel very stuck driving a car that has a defect. i was deceived in purchasing a car that obviously a safety issue.
The car vibrates and shudders during idle at stops, as well as accelerating and decelerating at various speeds--during the shudder cycle, it feels like the engine could sputter out but it cycles back. this is unacceptable for a new vehicle. honda has been aware of this defect and is not disclosing it to new buyers, and does not have a fix. dealer says oh yeah, this is a known issue, and honda is working on it. this is an abomination; the car should not be continued to be sold and owners should have a remedy.
The cr-v vibrates when stationary in park position and when you drive. it really shakes as you drive in the city stopping at stop signs or lights while in drive. it feels like engine could stop. it has a slight hesitation upon accelerating. this is with the a/c off. the a/c disguises the vibration when on mostly.
Vehicle vibrates 70% of times while in stop or idle with engine on. complained about this with honda & following up on the same. case # : 04549479
We had bought a brand new honda crv from o donnel honda in ellicott city (near baltimore). we had added an accessory of a remote starter. the dealer installed the remote starter but it is not working (car has to be twice started and restarted). dealer has told us that this is a known problematic issue with all crvs with keyless entry. we were never told about this problem while buying the car. we consider this as fraudulent practice. i am requesting dot to please help us ask honda to resolve this issue. either the remote starter should be reinstalled or another starter should be installed which works correctly. please note that if this is a known error (as dealer said) then all honda crvs should be recalled. restarting the car twice or more damages the car and could lead to safety issues if car starter stops working sooner than expected. we rely all our car for all personal, family and business needs. if a new car breaks down due to such faulty programming, it will cause immense damage.
Vibrations and rumbles when in drive while at stops with foot on brakes. it's getting worse. initial visit at the honda dealer, they could not duplicate. the second time at a dealer they said an engine update was needed and should stop it. well it got worse, so i took it back and the vibration and rumble was duplicated but honda doesn't have a fix. rough idles at stops and low speeds can cause a strain on the engine and eventually engine failure. the vibration is so bad that it sends waves thru my foot when it's on the brakes and the vibration is felt through out my body. the front and back seats vibrates until my 9 year old thinks that we're getting a butt massage. this is really sad and an unfortunate loss of a loyal customers trust in honda since 1990.
I bought a brand new cr-v ex-l based on excellent reviews from consumer reports and edmunds. i expected the car to be perfect. however, honda sold me the defected car without any notice even this defect was known for months. the issue is a vibration during idle. for example, when i stop on the traffic light, the passenger seat starts to shake. if i release breaks vibrations will go away. it is not normal. i noticed this problem 2 months after the purchase (or 600-700 miles). then i went to the dealer and he told me that honda's engineers were "working on it", no solution was found yet and i had to wait for a further notice. visible vibrations mean that there is mechanical resonance in the car. an example of destruction due to mechanical resonance would be a collapse of tacoma narrows bridge. thus, my safety concern is that the car can be damaged structurally. for example, few bolts may come loose and the car may disintegrate during the drive. the problem could be that a newly introduced cvt transmission in honda cr-v 2015 doesn't go along with the engine and they produce excessive vibrations that spread thru a car frame to the seat. probably, the car wasn't tested properly during design process. thus, honda engineers overlooked this problem. i have a video file of vibrations but it's too big for upload. anyway, you can see this issue here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr-yqajrrb8
Significant vibration when i am at a stop and foot on brake or just about to drive off. this happens almost every time i drive the vehicle. significant vibration of the front seat when no one is sitting in it. it seems to happen more when i am at a stop but it continues even while driving at highway speed. sometimes i have to reach over and hold on to the seat to get ride of the noise and vibration. windows and rear window seem to have a fog or cloudiness in them no matter the state of the defrost, weather or how much i clean them. no clear vision out the window. have seen the same issue in honda odyssey as well.
Car was purchased on 7/1/15. approximately 3 weeks after purchase, around 500 miles, the vehicle began experiencing strong vibrations when in drive gear at idle (i.e., stopped at a traffic light). entire body of car shudders significantly causing discomfort to passengers and nausea in some cases. the problem typically begins after driving the car for 5-10 minutes, and worsens the longer the engine has been running. honda service says that there is no known fix for this problem, and dealer refuses to provide a refund.
When accelerating from a stop into a right or left turn and let up on the accelerator, then try to accelerate after making the turn, i experience a total loss of power. if i let up on the accelerator, and then press on the accelerator again the vehicle will accelerate normally. if instead when the vehicle loses power, and i continue to hold the accelerator pressed down the vehicle stays in a lost state of power until i take my foot off the accelerator and then press down again. this event happens 2 to 3 times per month since the car was delivered to me by the dealer. this is dangerous, especially if i am making a left turn or trying to accelerate onto an interstate highway 's on ramp. when reported to the dealer, i was told that this was normal for this car.
Vibrating issues - bulletin 15-046. violent shaking under driver's seat when car in gear and foot on brake.
I recently purchased a 2015 honda crv with serious vibration issues at idle. i first noted the vibration at 420 miles at a red light. i brought it to the dealer to be checked as vibrations intensity increased around 800 miles. the dealer did nothing, denied knowing about the issue, and notes: "customer states the car has a vibration when stopped and foot on brake. it comes through the brake and the seat base and the back of the seat. can be felt through the whole car. has been happening since 450 miles. verified customers concern. honda is aware of customer reports of this concern. honda is actively reviewing reports and testing. since review is in progress no product review is available." absolutely unacceptable.
My car is 8 days old, started to vibrating on day 4th. also lacks of power backing up. updated 09/15/15*lj updated 11/27/2017*cn
