The heat from the driver side is lower than the heat from the front middle and passanger side vent. a service bulletin has been created for this sb 14-063. this should be a recall because it is very unsafe. the driver side blows cold air not hot at all and the deforester does not work. n ow that it is winter it is impacts visibility and is dangerous.
Water leakage from the top of the roof to the bottom of the rear bumper. water pooled in the spare tire well and sloshed out while i was driving wetting the carpet and the back seats as i had them folded down. the seal was not properly done at manufacturer. i had it repaired but honda would not reimburse for the damage. i did not realize this had happened as i don't sit in the back seats. the carpet and seats have soured, molded and mildewed. i researchered on line to see if others had this problem and found several have and not just the 2013 models. honda has known of this problem and has not recalled nor fixed the problem.
The air conditioner blows hot air. i took it in to dealership and they stated that it is cooling correctly. check air system stated nothing is wrong. i am asthmatic patient and this cause me to have asthma attacks
The awd sensor light is coming on due to the rear differential service pressure sensor. other 2013 and 2012 models are included in this recall
Back passenger door won't unlock from inside or outside door. all passengers have to get out from drivers side. safety concern. just purchased vehicle 07/15/18
I purchased at 2013 honda crv from pohanka in salisbury md with 30k miles. the other day i noticed my driver side vents were blowing cold air with the heat on.i took the car to the dealership where they told me it was the heater core and was going to cost me 400$ i purchased bumper to bumper warranty on this vehicle which should cover that expensive but doesn't. i've done a lot of research and have found that this particular model has a tsb 14-063 which states a factory defect.factory! many crv customers have reported this problem and it has yet to become a safety recall.i can not defrost my windshield during cold temperatures or fog/humidity,that is a safety problem to me and many others who own this model.ive owned probably 15 hondas and have never had a heater core problem especially at 30kmiles.i, nor should anyone have to pay for a factory mishap.the technical service bulletin for this model needs to be passed as a safety recall immediately before someone gets in an accident.its not a if it's going to happen its when.i've read atleast 100 complaints about this specific problem and cant understands why honda wont own up to this problem and take responsibility!
Tsb 14-063 code. affects the heating element. in my instance, it does not blow hot air at all. this is a known issue with honda and they have not issued a recall. this could be quite dangerous if in cold, inclement weather. heater never switches to hot air.
Drivers side vents blows cold air when heat is on. difference between passenger and driver side is approximate 30 degrees.
Engine rattles at early morning start up , honda aware of vtc actuator default and needs to open a recall cases to all crv made between 2012-2014
The temperature of the air coming out of the driver's side heating vents is significantly cooler than the temperature coming out of the passenger side. no adjustments to the heating controls improve this situation. it is becoming more difficult to defrost the window, which impacts visibility when driving and therefore impacts safety. i have read online that honda is not covering repair of this issue and that consumers are spending hundreds of dollars to correct a known design flaw.
The heater core is clogged and needs to be flushed in accordance with tsb 14-063. getting the crv to operating temperature and driving hundreds of miles has no affect getting heat. the lack of heat poses a significant safety hazard due to extreme freezing temperatures and windshield defrosting. it makes it near impossible to defrost the windshield while leaving all occupants inside the vehicle frozen. this known heater core problem is not covered under honda new vehicle limited warranty.
Vehicle experiences shaking/judder when accelerating at speeds of 20-40 mph.
When the vehicle is in motion and shifts from first to second gear anywhere between 20-25mph there is a vibration that appear to come from the transmission. i have visited the dealer several time trying to resolve this matter. the first time they told me fluid was needed, the second the transmission fluid, need to be changed. the 3rd time they needed a code to identify the problem, the forth time they upgrades the computer system. all these changes have improved the problem for a couple of weeks only. i reported this problem to company in california. the problem still present.
Hesitation when vehicle has come to slowdown as if to stop but gas is pressed to continue, vehicle will hesitate as if it completely loses all power for a few seconds, then it will regain power. this if extremely frightening when traffic is coming. car is in motion when this happens. it happens occasionally.
A squirrel ate through my windshield washer hoses. i got the hoses replaced, then 3 months later it happened again, and i had to replace them again. one time i was moving when i discovered i had non-functioning washers, and the other time it was while my car was stationary. there is a class action lawsuit against honda for the soy-based coating honda uses, which attracts rodents. the honda service manager pretended he knew nothing about this situation, even though honda makes a rodent-deterrent tape for this very reason. although the safety factor was minimal due to never knowing whether i have functioning windshield washers unless i test them each time i turn on the car, i have read about honda owners who have had rodents eat through their main harnesses.
2013 honda cr-v bluetooth. recipient of call hears loud noise and cannot hear me clearly. i hear them clearly. this problem has been happening within the last 3 years. i was told it was a programing problem. that should be honda's issue. i am unable to use my hands free device which i specifically bought the car for because it is the law that it must be used. it puts the driver who needs to use this in danger. the dealer needs to be responsible for changing out the unit but appears not to listen to the many people who have the same issue. it should be fixed by a recall. i should not have to pay for their faulty system.
The car has failed to start several times. i have had the battery, alternater and started checked out. they are fine. it appears that the battery is not charging at the proper voltage.
Driver's door lock makes a loud rattle upon locking, sounds like a machine gun. rear left door can only be manually locked or unlocked, does not work with the remote or will not lock or unlock automatically.
Ac compressor , alternator, belt is defective, replaced , (car have just 41000 mi )
My back righ door does not open form the inside or outside. something is wrong with the locking mechanisim. i have also had issues with the back hatch down not latching. suddnely startied happening. waitign to hear about my extended warranty. its seems like a sefery issue to me, since kids cant exit the car on the correct side at school. were recalls on same issue in previous years.
When i shift from parking to reverse i hear a loud clunking sound.
Having this problem since june 2015. already have purchased two tensioner and now 1 pulley. since i have gone over the warranty is over 12,000, i drive 4k miles a month. i have it back to the shop still making a strange sound when i take off and drive between 20-40 mph. now brought it back saying product is defective again. how many time is the product going to be defective. whats really happening
The car makes a griniding noise when we start it. we bought the car in december of 2015. on 2/26/2016, i was told by the dealer mechanic that hnda is aware of the situation but hasnt formulated a soultion. the honda dealer's mechanic did give me a great desription of the problem.
At times when i am trurning on the car i hear a grinding noise. i'm not sure where this noise is comeing from but it's loud and scrachy grindy. sometime is comes on when i first start the car in the morning, but yet sometime is dose the same thing later on in the day. some days it dose not do that noise at all, but some days it does it a few times in the day. i have asked the dealer about it but they don't know why. the form requires a date of when this happens, but there is no exact date this issue happens whenever no worning and no reason why it should happen
Back door will not unlock. i attempted multiple times with the key fob, which has batteries and unlocked the other doors. i then tried to unlock it by pressing the unlock button on the driver's side. that did not work either. i continued to try all the other doors unlock buttons with no luck. i am unable to use the back portion of the vehicle seeing as i can't get to it. this could pose a serious issue with everyday activities from putting groceries back there to accessing my spare tire if needed.
Car would not start. when the key was turned, the engine cranked slowly, then the starter only clicked. the vehicle had been used regularly (20 min drive to and from work) in the days leading up to the incident. car was jump started with another car and it started up properly. we took the vehicle into the dealer and it seems that technical service bulletin for 2012 cr-v also applied to the 2013 cr-v -- tsb 12-041. however, when i had searched the list of service bulletins for the 2013 cr-v, the issue didn't come up on the nhtsa website. i think this service bulletin should be issued for the 2013 cr-v as well.
Sunroof glass exploded while driving on the interstate.
2013 honda crv with 27,000 miles has been making grinding noises when starting the engine in cold weather. this started about a year ago and was not happening each time. it seems temperature related. we called our dealer who said this problem was known by honda and that honda was working on it and we would be contacted by the dealer once honda had a solution. they seemed to know exactly what was causing the problem and admitted that other customers had called with exactly the same complaint. from what we have seen online, this problem has been around for a while and there has been no resolution from honda. in the meantime, because oil is not getting to this part in the starter, we can only assume that this part is being worn down. this problem is known by honda yet it appears nothing is being done to replace the part. this seems like a problem that would require a recall. we will continue to contact our dealer here in bend, oregon, so that we can keep our concern documented and on the table.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 honda cr-v. the contact stated that when starting the vehicle, a grinding noise was heard from the front end. the failure was recurring and intermittent. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was unable to be diagnosed. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure and current mileage was 19,000. kmj
The heat -system has never worked properly. this includes the windshield defrost mode that does not clear the windshield for safe visibility. . hot air will only blow out of the passenger side vents and cold air blows out of the driver side vents. the windshield does not defrost enough for good safe visibility. honda corp.and dealers know about this issue on 2012 to 2017 models and is avoiding any recall or offer to fix this safety issue. please help us to get this fixed so these cars are safe to drive in cold months. thank you.
