Takata recall/nhtsa recall 16v-346 faulty airbag (passenger side) has not been replaced by honda dealer. was first notified of airbag defect via service receipt provided at time of service for an oil change. date of service when the problem was first noted was jul 1, 2016. per recall letter, if dealer is unable to repair or replace the defect in the vehicle within 60 days of the first point of contact regarding the recall, a formal complaint may be filed. it has been 60+ days and the vehicle remains with the defective airbag. honda states that they do not have an estimated time of repair as it could take months or even a year to fix the airbag defect. further, i have not been offered an alternate vehicle/rental as it is a great inconvenience to indefinitely disable the passenger side of the vehicle. i continue to drive my vehicle as is.

Takata recall. i went to boardwalk honda at 6807 tilton rd, egg harbor township, nj 08234 last may 14, 2016 for the takata driver's side airbag recall on my honda cr-v 2009 model. i was told that it still was not available. i asked if they could provide me a temporary alternative transportation but they said at that time all vehicles reserved to them from enterprise were in use already. i kept on following up with them every week and even asked if they could reimburse me if i rented a car. they told me to call american honda about that. unfortunately, american honda's number, 1-888-234-2138 automatically redirects you to an automated answering system which tells the caller to coordinate with your dealer. i have tried calling other dealers but they told me the airbag was vin specific and once it's ordered by one dealer, they can't order it again. i'm getting concerned because we have a 2 yr old and a newborn baby and it's been almost 3 months and i fear for our safety every time i use that car. i only want them to provide me a rental car while waiting for the parts to come and not give me the runaround every time i call them. i sincerely hope you could help with our situation. thank you. *tr

Going speed and car almost stutters, feels like looses power, rpm's raise when given gas but car will not increase speed, continues to slow down until vsa light comes on. on other occasions the car abrutly stops, feeling like the brakes lock up once again, until the vsa light comes on. i have read multi post from crv owners having this same issue as well as a post about a class act law suit already involving honda for the vehicle stability alert system.

I contacted ken garff honda downton (64 east 900 south, slc, 84111) on may 3, 2016 requesting the recall replacement and they told me it would take a couple of weeks before they contacted me and it has now been over three months. the recall notice on received from honda indicated i could put in a complaint if i had not been helped within 60 days, it has been over 90.

Takata airbag rec'd a recall for the takata airbag saying the part would be ready for install late summer/early fall. we have not been able to drive the car safely for almost a year now. there has been no follow up explaining delay.

Takata recall my car was taken in for the airbag recall for replacement. when i was called to come and get my car i asked if the driver and passenger side airbag had been replaced and was told yes. upon arrival at the honda dealership service department i was told they had made a mistake, only the driver's side airbag had been replaced. needless to say i was very upset, asked to speak to someone and was given the number for the main american honda office. i called them right at the dealership and was told at this time only the one airbag was on recall, i voiced my serious concern as my car had not been on the recall list a year ago and now it was and i have 2 grandchildren that frequently ride in my car. i requested that they disconnect the passenger side airbag, they said they could not do that, they tried to assure me it was safe for me to drive my car with my grandchildren. i requested that it be noted i was not satisfied. they gave me a case number. right now i am in god's hands as this is the only transportation i have. it makes no sense that both airbags were not replaced when they had my car and replaced the driver's. when the updated lists come out i imagine since i live in florida i will eventually receive another recall notification, and this time for the passenger side. both airbags need to be replaced at the same time.

Takata recall. my complaint is that honda will not pay for all expenses related to alternate transportation for my recall honda crv. currently i have heard that my husband's honda odessey may be recalled also. what will we do for work transportation and all the other life situations we are incurring presently? please help me with this problem. thank you in advance.

Takata recall i requested on april 2016, replacement of the air bag system per the "important safety recall"notice dated march 2016. this request was made early april 2016 to the service department of coggin honda of st. augustine, st. augustine, fl; state of florida registration # mv-40886. since april 2016, i have called the dealership on numerous occasions and was told i was very low on their list. in fact, in may 2016 i was told there were only two replacements ahead of me. i have also requested a comparable replacement vehicle until my was repaired, but have always been told there was "no comparable vehicle available" from the rental company (avis) which the dealer uses for this purpose. i am concerned for my safety and that of my spouse, and am dissatisfied with the length of time this is taking to receive the service to which i deserve. i have received a second safety recall notice dated july 2016, which sounds to be a more serious matter that needs to be resolved immediately. i would appreciate this condition be rectified, and look to this agency to get the results i have been seeking with my dealership, to no avail. thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
